My name is Larry Morgan. I am retired and have been interested in geneology for about 10 years. I am married to Georgia (Stewart) Morgan. I graduated from Wylie High School and McMurry College in Abilene, Texas. I graduated from Bible Baptist Seminary in Arlington, Texas with a Masters in Theology. My wife graduated from Abilene High School. We have 2 daughters, 4 granddaughters and 1 grandson. |
I am very active in researching my ancestry - the Morgan's and the Foster's. I do this not only for my benefit, but also to help anyone else with their ancestry research. I do this as a hobby and not for personal gain.
I have added many pictures to Find A Grave from my visites to Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Mississippi cemeteries. If anyone wants control of a posting that I have entered, please contact me.
I have no problem with you using my pictures and info that I have posted. You do not need my written permission.
If you do not want someone else using your photos or info, DO NOT post them to a public website.

Hey Cousin!! How are you? I am still looking for the parents of little Katie Stella Morgan 1895-1897 buried in the Concord Cem in Jacobia! Have you looked into it at all? I posted an older photo that someone sent me about 20 years ago, and it looks like WH & RS Morgan are parents. My WH did not marry a RS, but this child would have been born right after AnnaMyrtle Morgan Flowers! Any ideas??
Your name is familiar to me, although I don't know if we've spoken before. I just came across your memorial for Leonardy Williams, and her biography states that she is the daughter of David and Leona Williams. I am descended from David and Leona and have never come across Leonardy before. Do you have more information on her or this family? If so, I would be interested to hear it.

Thanks Larry, I'd have to agree. If there is a connection it would be branching off somewhere. Best Regards

Hello Larry - I haven't done much research on the Morgan side of my lineage as it is a fairly distant line. My Great Great Grandmother was Minerva Christine Morgan. Her parents were Daniel Morgan and his wife Asenith. Both died in Hopkins County, TX. They came there from Kentucky. I have an aunt that followed this line, the Bracheen line and the Hargrave line for entry into DAR. The Morgan patriot's name is Anthony Morgan of Farguier County, VA
My name is Joe Hopkins and I live in Dallas.

I would like to determine which site she is actually buried in.
Any information that you are able to provide would be greatly appreciated.
|Dawn Morgan Mercier||Hi there.|
Hi Larry, I can't remember if you and I are distantly related...I'm sure I emailed you before, re: the Morgans in sw KY. My bloodline was the Morgans from Mayfield, Ballard, those counties. I also have some from my bloodline that ended up in Texas. Which bloodline were you from again? Sorry, my memory gets fuzzy nowadays...lol And I'm not even that old! Talk soon, Dawn

Hi Larry! I have seen your posts on Find A Grave naming the lineage of Burrell Joyner (1791-1861). I have two questions for you:
#1 Do you offer proof of his being the son of Thomas and Patience?
#2 I'm putting together a book for my family and wondered if you knew of any portraits of Thomas Joyner (1819-1887) or Burrell Joyner (1791-1861)? I've never come across any but would love to know if you have, or if you can direct me to someone who might know of more Joyner history.
Many thanks and happy holidays!
