My wife, Mary Ann, and I have been involved in genealogy for a number of years researching our respective families. We are fortunate in that we are able to travel to the areas from which our ancestors migrated so we try to share the information we obtain with others not so fortunate. We try to enumerate each cemetery in which we have ancestors buried and then enter them on the internet.

We are researching the following surnames:

Phillippe [and variants], Sevier, Lowe, Greeno, Oliver,Cowden, Prewitt, Toalson, Pace, Clay, Pratt, Purvis, Rawson, Harper, and many, many others.

Pratt
I see you are researching this last name. Do you have anything on a R.L. Pratt of Mississippi who was married to Louise McDonald. I do not have any other information on him.

Harriet Nield Nichols
I'm sorry that I made a mistake about the date of the murder of "Billy" Peach. It occurred in February 1875, not 1874.

Harriet Nield Nichols
Harriet was not murdered by her husband. According to an article in the Kentucky Advocate, dated 17 September 1875, Harriet's husband Benjamin Hardaway Nichols was arrested in February 1874 for the Mercer County murder of William "Billy" Peach. The trial was held in Danville, Kentucky and Benjamin was convicted and sentenced to die, but the sentence was changed to life in prison. An article in the Lancaster, Kentucky Enterprise Newspaper, section Boyle News, dated 8 January 1880, states that "Hardaway Nichols, sent to the penitentiary for life from this county for the murder of Ben [sic] Peach, died a few days since. A soul gone shuttering to the shades below."

Adna Crear Anderson
Hello Albert. I am the steward for the memorial for Helen Roberts Kennedy. I am trying to update her memorials and I wonder if you know the cemetery for Adna Crear Anderson #55603716? If you do, would you please send the cemetery name to me? Thank you very much, Jo Roberts josienr@comcast.net.

Harriet Nield Nichols
Harriett Nield Nichols (Memorial #16364736)is listed with her family on the 1870 Mercer County, Kentucky Census, taken on 18 August 1870. This means that the death date for her must be wrong. Does anyone have a copy of her death certificate that can be put on-line?
