Don't cha hate it when a graver tells you what they will or will not do with their records? Or that you have to pass some 'relationship' test for a transfer? Not me............

I will be happy to transfer Ownership rights of any entry I've made- I don't care what your relationship or reason. I'm not related to any of my entries except a very few.

It might be helpful to others to cite the source of requested updates; But even that omission won't stop the update.

How to Request a TRANSFER
*Note: You must be logged in for this procedure to work:

1. Click on the "EDIT TAB" top right of the entry

2. Click "SUGGEST A CORRECTION...."

3. Type the word "TRANSFER"

4. Send.

That gives me ALL the information I need to make the transfer.

I haunt cemeteries for tombstone photos and follow up with obituaries if available at the Chester County Historical Society. Or Vice-Versa, I get the obit then find tombstone.

Dan, I finally found the death records for Lizziemac and Edson - with your great help. I updated her memorial. I also looked for a marriage record for Edson and Ethel, but found nothing. Thanks so very much, T

Thank you so very much for the updates for Mary Kyper Richardson.
I am looking for a sister, Flora B. Kyper, who was born abt. 1887; married to Emory B. Hodson on 5. Sept. 1906, Huntingdon Cty, PA but they resided in Bethlehem, Northampton Cty, PA from 1920-1954.
I did find a US Social Security Index for Flora Hodson born 3 Nov 1885, DOD Feb. 1985 but am not sure if this is the correct Flora. Do you possibly have a Death Certificate or obituary for her even though it's not in Chester Cty?

Lizziemac R. Scofield
Dan,

How nice of you to post Lizziemac's grave photo. She and her husband, Edson M. Scofield lived in Los Angeles CA at the time of the 1930 Census. However, I did not find a death record for either of them in the Pennsylvania death records, California Death Index, nor Social Security Death Index. So I don't know where they died.

I am a descendant of one of Lizziemac's aunts. I was lucky to find her memorial which another contributor posted, but I have not yet established contact with any living cousins in her side of the family.

Thanks, T

Also....
In addition to the DD-214 there is a form called "Disposition of Human Remains" that the cemetery gets from the funeral home when custody is transferred on the day of interment. That form contains birth and death information too.

RE: Date UPdate
Per the Department of Veterans Affairs. Their website says...

HACKETT, OGDEN O
CPL US ARMY AIR FORCES
WORLD WAR II
DATE OF BIRTH: 11/03/1926
DATE OF DEATH: 10/13/2014
BURIED AT: SECTION 34 SITE 1972
INDIANTOWN GAP NATIONAL CEMETERY
RR2, BOX 484 INDIANTOWN GAP ROAD ANNVILLE, PA 17003-9618
(717) 865-5254

They get their information from the veterans Form DD-214 (military discharge papers). I'd trust the DD-214 over the obituary which is written under stressful circumstances, often by a relative with second-hand information and rushing to meet a press deadline.

You could call the cemetery at the above number and ask them what their records show. Also ask what is on the engraving request.

Later,
Ed
