Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in Riverside, Burlington County New Jersey and spent much of my first ten years there. My father died in WWII having never seen me. My step-father was in the Navy so we spent a lot of time traveling around. I graduated from high school at the Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, joined the Navy in 1961, came out to California in 1963 and have been here ever since. I have been married twice, have three children and eleven grandchildren. My second wife Sandy and I have known each other since we were five years old and have been married since 2006. I have been doing my family genealogy since 2010 and a member of Find A Grave for two years now.

If you see a picture of a gravesite I have taken and want to use it, by all means copy it and use as needed. If you see a family members memorial that I have created and you would like to manage it, just ask.

RE: Rebecca Dilks
The weather is getting warmer so I'll get out to Bethel Methodist Cemeteryu and look for some more Dilks graves as you suggested. Won't try to life that heavy stone though. Might break it or me. I was the band director for 21 years at Rancocas Valley Regional H. S., and retired almost 26 years ago. We played Palmyra for a few years in football.

RE: Elizabeth Bastian
I did some research and she was married to Thomas Frederick Bastian. He did remarry a few years later and died in Kern county in the 1940s. I don't know where he is buried, but he's not one of my Bastians. My great grandfather's brother lived in Bakersfield and is buried there. He never had sons so I don't know where Thomas came from. One or both of his parents were foreign born and Norman Bastian's paternal ancestors were here long before that. It's just that Norman's obituary says that he is buried in Union cemetery but he appears to be in Green Lawn or something. Thank you.

RE: Dilks
There are a lot of Dilks buried in Bethel Methodist Cemetery. Many have a memorial and some have information which might help you. When I get to it I'll walk the older section and take some more pictures of stones not yet included. Click on Find a Cemetery to see names with memorials.
One side of my wife's family settled in the Hampton/Strafford/Deerfield areas very early and left for Iowa/Nebraska after the Civil War but we have skied in New Hampshire yearly since 1986 staying at Attatash Mt. Village, Bartlett. Have visited Strafford and Deerfield but it was in the winter time and didn't stay long although I have a lot of information on the area.
