Rebecca Lawson #29149094
Hi Bill. I noticed that you posted a photo on Rebecca's memorial that is of the marriage of William Lawson to Jane Banks, 1758 in Halifax CO, VA. That marriage is not for the couple you posted it on. William of Scott County, Virginia is not the William who married Jane Banks. That was speculated on years ago and finally proven by many Lawson researchers that the man who married Jane Banks is a different man who moved to Georgia and died there in 1800. Would you please consider deleting the marriage info you added on Rebecca's memorial? Thank you so much.

RE: Sponsorships
Hello Bill, it's a delight to "meet" you too! I love findagrave and, and I, like you, try to sponsor all my direct-line relatives. I guess I did get to them before you did, but I can't thank you enough for trudging out to that cemetery and locating the grave and posting up their memorial. It's such joy I experience when I find information that seems so easy to me to find, but I fully understand the work, the effort that others before me have done that make just online searches so easy and rewarding. I can't thank you enough.....cousin!!! haha. I don't create many memorials, but I try to give back by doing lots of research on random people and then sending edit requests to the memorial creators and by the time I'm finished, I've linked up dozens of lines of a family way back, that someday someone will delight over. I'd love to send you a quick email and tell you how I'm connected to the area and how I'm connected to Johannes and Utilla. God Bless!

John Schmierer could be the son of Johann Jacob Schmeyer 15533967 and his wife Maria Barbel Doll. Born in Germany moved to PA and somehow got to NC. What do you think? Mary Jane

Thanks for the reference. I changed it to the 30th. I was probably looking at the NC Death Index, which isn't always correct.
p.s. I really don't like death certificates as that are now very attractive. Such information should be on a Family tree.
