dupe memorial Maj John S Lyle
I just added a picture of Maj Lyle to your memorial .. I tried contacting you and the other poster but something is hinky with the site .. this makes yours the complete memorial both memorial were added within a month of each other way back in 2008, so maybe I'm beating a dead horse, but at least one of the memorials is now complete. Kay

Memorials 29808486 and 30054598 are the same guy. Birth and death dates are on one .. Military rank and nice picture on the other -- anyway we can get these two combined?

RE: Reid Family Updates
Thanks for sending updates, I worked on those long before find a grave had so many great functions as they do today, like connecting family. Thanks for helping in the quest :)

RE: Miller/Sheffer/Thompson families
Thanks for the offer of transferring these to me, but they are not related to me that I know of. I'm just going through photos that I have in my files and adding them to the listings on findagrave as I find the correct person's memorial that matches up with them.

RE: James Scott & AF Scott
I'm not related to either of them that I know of, but I haven't researched them enough to know for certain.

The plat book is from 1893, so James Scott would have been living in Richmond, Indiana at that time. You probably haven't been able to find that Richmond connection since most of the 1890 Census Records were destroyed by fire. Tax Records might offer some insight as to exactly when he lived there.

The plat book was a great find. Knowing that I would love to have picture of my relatives, I felt that these photos needed to be preserved and shared with others who might be looking for ones of their family. I did find photos in it of a few of my family members.

Good luck with you search for information on James Scott.

RE: James Scott & AF Scott
You're welcome. I found the photo in an old plat book. Unfortunately, there wasn't any additional information other than what I sent in my original message.

Florida makes sense now that I read the obituary that you included. I remember seeing a James Scott in the Census Records there, but didn't know that there was a possible connection at that time.
