Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy for many years. One of my favorite things in researching is visiting cemeteries. I love to just walk around the tombstones and try to imagine what the people's lives might have been like. I have been contributing tombstone pictures to this site to help fellow genealogists that are a distance away that can't visit their relative's gravesite in person.

My family has been a big assistance to me in my project for this website. My son, Trenton, my daughter, Alena, and my husband, Terry, have helped me take tombstone photos. So a big "THANKS" goes out to all three of them!!

Quote from Findagrave: "The goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. THE ULTIMATE GOAL SHOULD BE TO HAVE MEANINGFUL, ACCURATE MEMORIALS THAT HONOR THOSE WHO HAVE PASSED AWAY, REGARDLESS OF WHO CREATED THE MEMORIAL OR WHO MAINTAINS IT." Please keep this in mind when you request a transfer as it takes a lot of time and money to do research to add memorials to this site. I love working on this site, but I have run into some problems just recently.

I DO WELCOME ADDITIONS, CORRECTIONS AND FAMILY LINKS. The more information the better!! I usually get the updates done within 1 or 2 days.

Hi Lisa,
I just visited Mt. Pisgah cemetery in Georgetown, Illinois and was saddened to see a lot of damage done to gravestones. There was also older gravestones seen in the brush.....which hadn't been mowed. I did find my great great grandfather who started our farm in 1864 with 3 other members of his family. I could not find a child named Mary who died it seems when she was 11 yrs. Old. I found Mary first wife, Nancy second wife that our line is from, and their daughter Clara. Their son Isaac which is my great grandfather is buried in indianola woodruff? Cemetery with his wife and my question is can you find little Mary's gravesite and is there a way I can get access to all family members buried at Mt. Pisgah in case there are more? Is there a way to purchase or receive a list of all people buried at mt. Pisgah? Thanks for any help. Diane Russell

Abe and Elizabeth Hunter
Thank you so much Lesa for the transfer of my great grandparents Abe and Elizabeth. They had seven children and I knew all but two of them. I also have a few vague memories of Elizabeth. It means a lot to me to get them all linked for future generations. Thanks again for all the work you have do on here!

Isabella Martha Oliphant Tinsley #24068857
Hi Lisa,
I was wondering what information you have on Isabella Martha Oliphant Tinsley on her being buried at the Moran Cemetery, Moran, Ks.
She is my Great great Grandmother and I am trying to track down her burial. Her husband Moses Wesley is buried in Green Mountain Cemetery in Mountain Grove, Missouri with a field stone and slab stone.
I just visited with the cemetery records person from Moran Cemetery and they do not have on record that Isabella is buried there. Can you help me on this?
Thank You,

Sarah's Maiden Name

The Indiana death certificates are now online on On the death certificate of Sarah's son, Richard R. Russell, it lists her maiden name as Sarah Thompson.

Sarah Thompson married William Hendrickson in 1822 in Spencer County, IN. In 1835, she married John Russell in Vermillion County, IN. In John Russell's will, he leaves money to the children of William Hendrickson (John's step-children).

Murphy-Clyden family
I am researching the Lewin family. Clara Clyden married Frank Lewin first, George Johnson second and Charles Murphy third. In the 1930 census Clara lives with her daughter, Gladys, in Danville, IL and is listed a widowed. However, her supposed deceased husband is shown as living with his stepson, Floyd Lewin in Hoopeston, IL in the same 1930 US Census.

Do you have further information about the complex family I have illustrated above?

Thanks for your efforts in support of Find-A-Grave. I do a little of that myself.

Floy Hillier Hester
Please ignore my question about her maiden name. I have confirmed it on my own. Funny for such a strange name to fit the dates and pieces of 2 different puzzles. , but then, that is what makes this research exciting and rewarding. My Floy (or Flock) Dale Nuckolls was supposed to have run away with a dentist and was never heard from again..Sorry to have bothered you. The hunt goes on
