Bio and Links
Bio Photo Please, please, please...make sure when you send me family links to connect, that they are the CORRECT numbers!! I've been getting slammed with corrections and I don't have time to check every one that I update to make sure they are the correct person. I've had to fix some big mistakes because of this issue. Thank you peoples. Keep up the good work!

My work on Find A Grave is one of my 'random acts of kindness'. I don't do it for credit or to have more pictures or records than others. I do it because it helps someone out whether it's a photo request that I fulfill, a name I add or just a picture that I take. I do it so others can get on here and find their family or friends. I do it to help others with their grief. I do it to fill in gaps on someones family tree. I also do it to honor those who've passed. Every picture that I take, I take with love. I take it like I would if it were my own family's picture[though I can't vouch for my early pictures on here!]. I put it here untouched so that it can be added to someone's family records. I don't want or expect anything in return for the work I do. The fact that I can look at all the work I've done on here over the years and feel good inside knowing that I've made a difference is enough for me.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have no problem updating records. PLEASE send any info that needs changed or added through the 'SUGGEST A CORRECTION' button. It is the quickest way because it adds the links and info to one mail and I don't have to search Find A Grave for the record. Feel free to keep the pictures that I've taken and added to this site. They are not mine but belong to the family of the person. Also, if I have added a close family member and you would like to maintain it, I have no problem transferring it. Please use the 'suggest a correction' button for transfers too. Thanks.
I'm researching the following surnames:
Hampton, Howell, Banks, Watkins, Osborne, Collier, North, Arrowood, Walden and Walls. They are from Floyd, Letcher, Breathitt, Bell & Wolfe Counties in KY and Campbell County, TN.
I have personally walked many cemeteries and taken pictures. Some of these include New Carlisle, Medway, Myers, Glen Haven, Evergreen, Casstown, Donnelsville, House of Jacob, Kepper, Lost Creek, McKendree, Newson, Sodom, West Charleston, Terre Haute, Studebaker, Walden, Watkins, Callison and Kyle cemeteries. Sometimes I take pictures of the whole cemetery or sometimes I just pick random stones. Sometimes it's just the cemeteries front page. Just depends.
RE: duplicates
Policy concerning obits.
It appears you only want to enforce the findagrave.com rules you choose
Can I add an obituary to my interment listing?
Do not copy obituary notices from newspapers (or from funeral home notices or web sites) to an individual's memorial record unless you have permission from the newspaper to do so or you are the author of the obituary. Some obituaries that were published in 1922 or earlier are now in the public domain. In general, obituaries in newspapers are submitted by the family with assistance from the funeral home. If the obituary is added to the memorial record, list the newspaper and date the obit was printed for example "Published in the Hattiesburg American, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Internet Edition, April 11, 2007". Please do not include the names of living or surviving relatives in the biography, unless you have their permission. If you do not have permission to copy an obituary to a memorial, you may put a note stating the name of the newspaper and the date the obituary was published.
Please do NOT add photographs from obituary notices (unless you, personally took the photo), as they are protected by copyright law. Find A Grave reserves the right to remove obituary notices and photographs from memorial records. Similarly, you may NOT scan an obituary and add it as a photograph to a memorial record.
Obituaries for "famous" individuals are usually written by newspaper staff and can not be posted to Find A Grave as the newspaper company owns that copyright.
Please do not include website addresses that may be listed in the obituary as they usually expire within a year after the obituary is printed. [Top]
duplicates
If my information is different from yours then it is not a duplicate. I guess it depends on what you label a duplicate
I posted this photo for a favor for an email request. They wanted the complete information and I provided it
Transcribing my research
Amber did you have my permission to copy my research from the UStombstone and Archives project? I find it morally unethical to take someone's data without asking permission. The site does say this material belongs to me.
RE: Lorene Bagwell Shook
Hello Amber. I have tried very hard to account for as many of my departed relatives as possible. Lorene Bagwell was my grandfather's second cousin. Thanks very much for adding a memorial for her and for connecting her to Floyd. I sincerely appreciate it!
transcription of copyrighted material
Do you have permission to transcribe the Champaign County genealogical publications of the obits you have posted?
Where did you obtain your data listed on the site? The same errors which occur in the 1982 publication by the Champaign County Genealogical society are on the site and many of the errors I made from my transcription of this cemetery and posted to the UStombstone and archives site also occur on the findagrave.com site.
My understanding from the trustee and the cemetery caretaker of this cemetery they have never provided you the records for this cemetery.
