Sabine County Texas cemeteries were indexed by me and a couple of helpers in 2000-2002. There are 150 identified cemeteries/burial places with 25 of these being almost lost with only faint signs of burial, to being completely lost with only a general knowledge of where the cemetery was located. I personally walked and indexed more than 135 of these. Many thanks to others that are interested in Sabine Co., TX, because of them, much progress has been made in making these memorials available to others. I am adding pictures of the markers I have taken, corrections and links to family members.|
I have many of the Sabine County cemeteries completely photographed and hope to someday complete all of them. I have completed photographing the following cemeteries:
Bethany Memorial Gardens
Cannon Family Cemetery
Conner-South Prong Creek Cemetery
Cooper Harris Cemetery
Gomer Family Cemetery
Grant Family Cemetery
Gravel Hill Cemetery
Halbert (Joel) Cemetery
Isaac Low Cemetery
Judson Meador Cemetery
King Family Cemetery
Liberty Springs Cemetery
Lone Star Cemetery
Low's Chapel Cemetery
Mill Creek Cemetery
Mount Sinai Cemetery
Myrtle Springs Cemetery
New Hope Cemetery
Old Vickers Cemetery
Oliphint Memorial Cemetery
Osborne Family Cemetery
Pleasant Hill Methodist Church Cemetery
Spring Hill Cemetery
Vance E. Vickers Cemetery
Went Family Cemetery
Whispering Pines Cemetery
Williams Family Cemetery
Now I am trying to identify unmarked graves and get duplicates and cremated memorials moved out of the cemeteries.
The cemeteries I still need to photograph are:
Bethel Chapel Cemetery
Corinth Church Cemetery
County Line Cemetery
Gasby-New Zion Cemetery
Harper's Chapel Cemetery
Macedonia Cemetery (Partially done)
Oak Hill Cemetery
Pleasant Grove Cemetery
Speights (Spike Henson) Cemetery
I no longer live in Sabine County, but I have lots of Sabine County family information. I am continually researching Sabine County families and linking families. I would be honored to take care of any Sabine County memorial that you would like to transfer to me.
I am one of the "Find A Grave Keepers" for Sabine County, Texas.
I have walked where my ancestors walked, laughed where my ancestors laughed, and cried where my ancestors cried.

I was wondering how you are related to Levi Daniel Peavy? He is my 4th great grandpa.. Via my maternal grandpas paternal line [my grandpa was Jerry Littleton Peavy, his dad was Clement [or Clemmie or Clem] Peavy, his dad was Pearl L. Peavy, his dad was Levi Daniel Peavy Jr., his dad was Levi Daniel Peavy Sr [born in the late 1700's].. I think that is my 4th grandpa. Or my 5th. I dunno. My brain has shut down. :)
Anyways, super curious.. Also, my grandpa, Jerry, hired the Utah Genealogy Research ppl back in like 1993.. They struggled to find info on the Peavy's.. But they eventually did find a bit of info. I have info on.. Martha Olivia Jane Castles, who married Pearl L. Peavy.. And I have info on.. I think it was her dad. Or his dad. I don't have the info in front of me. Just going on memory.
If you want, feel free to email me @ email@example.com - I can provide you with whatever Peavy info I have.. It is not much, but it is something..

Thank you so much Kay for trying to help me Locate the grave site of My Great Grandmother. I guess it may remain a mystery for some time yet.
I really admire what you are doing. I is such a great comfort to others like myself who want to feel more connected to our past.
P.S. If you ever run across a Bula(sp.) Toney gravesite in Texas from about 1914-1915 please let me know!

Thank you Kay for your interest, these people in question are my distant relatives, I do a lot of research, and a lot of people that I put in find Find A Grave, are loved ones to others, and if they want transfer, then it does not bother me to transfer.
Have a great day.
