I love genealogy and the search for the information. I would rather walk a cemetery than look in a book at the information. So many stories can be told from the information found on some of the tombstones.
I research Miller, Bottorff, Craft, Brewer, Hollowell, Wadding, Vasseau, Hampton, Greene, and so so many other lines.
Will also go look up obits etc for you in Garland CO, AR.
I am past President of the Melting Pot Genealogical Society of Hot Springs, Garland CO, AR, 2008-2009. Our website is www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~armpgs Lots of information on there. The website it maintained by Patti Vance Hays who also is a member of www.Findagrave.com
If I have any mistakes I try to take care of them as soon as possible as well make these. Like the one when I accidentally posted Maple Hill Cemetery photo on the Marvell Eventide Cemetery in Phillips CO, AR. I have tried from the moment it was posted with many emails to FAG to get it removed but as of today, 8-26-2008, they have not and it is not designed where the poster can remove it.
Daniel Brackett Cemetery The photo you took for James Monroe"J.M." Brew in 2007 looked like there was another headstone leaned against it. I have been out there recently. The grounds have been cleared and I do not see headstone that looks familiar to the one leaning against James. Did you get a better look at the headstone and its markings? Thank you, Kathy
The government provided a military headstone for Daniel Brackett in Sept 1930 and it was shipped to the attention of James Adair in Sallisaw, OKLA. Could you have a photo taken of it and posted to his memorial? It should be in the Daniel Brackett Cemetery in Sallisaw. I can email you a copy of the government's filled request.
Grave of Alexander Leighton Forbes hogg I have found your website and was surprised and delighted to see the grave of Alexander Forbes Hogg. This gentleman is the son of my great great grandfather Andrew Hogg who lived in Laurencekirk in Scotland. I live in Edinburgh and am coming to Chicago on holiday this summer and will visit the cemetery and hopefully one day meet with American relations.
John Bottorff Linda, I saw you have a request for John Bottorff b1777 d1867 stone photograph. I have one. It is owned by the Charlestown Public Library. I saw your note about the record owner can't be contacted on here so I can't add the photo that way. I was considering creating a new record for John Bottorff or if you want to. Is there anyway to contact findagrave and get them to transfer the record ownership? Basically I can send you a copy of this picture if you want. Let me know.
Dulcie Heird Terry You failed to list 2 sisters of Dulcie Terry. My name is Fern Heird Wilson, born March 25, 1941 in Jefferson County, Arkansas, and my sister is named Carrie Lee Heird Tidwell, born September 22, 1936, also born in Jefferson County, Arkansas. We are the only survivors of 14 children born to Dovie Falls Heird and Clarence Aubry Heird.
Soad Ballew Memorial Soad Ballew had a photo request under Levi Cookson Cemetery memorial 13743658. I was going to take the photo, but before I could, I saw he was actually in Cookson Proctor Cemetery with a photo (see memorial 26430971). I verified this by a visit to Cookson Proctor Cemetery and his is there. Please remove him from the Levi Cookson Cemetery since it is a duplicate.
Find A Grave actually has Levi Cookson Cemetery in the wrong location, it is on the other side of Lake Tenkiller. It is not adjacent to Cookson Proctor as it appears on the Find A Grave Mobile App.
