If you are not related to Thomas would you consider transferring his memorial to me? He is a distant relation (3rd cousin 3 times removed according to Ancestry's calculation). Thank you, Tamryn member# 46620728

RE: Nettie Hale #91158909
Hi Linda,
I found yet another memorial...I think there are 2 Nettie's. One with a maiden name of Pelfrey and one maiden name of Nettie Jane Cantrell...which would be my relative.

It can be a little confusing, to say the least to find people with like/similar names and DOB's, etc. One of my great grandfathers, who came here from Sheffield, England is a good example. During the same era in Sheffield, England...there were other couples with same given names...one couple in particular with same years of births and some of their children were named the same...I find I need to be so careful and really check everything before accepting anything as fact. It was very confusing until I figured it out.

I think this is all this is...a different person with similar name, etc. I find many woman here buried under their married names with no maiden names or family members given...that's just the way it is.

I really appreciate your taking the time to check on this and getting back to me...I really appreciate your consideration and generosity of your time in helping me..and many others as well.

If I find that this person is a relative or have any further questions, I will get back to you.

Thank you again for your time and help. I will continue researching this.

Happy Trails,
Nancy Lynn Blakeslee

I tried to send a private message but your email address does not work.
Hi Linda,

First, I would like to thank you for you time and generosity in contributing to Find A Grave. It is much appreciated by all.

But, I am a bit confused here. You show Nettie's name as Nettie P. Pelfrey Hale. But her maiden name was Cantrell..Pelfrey was her first husbands last name. My records show that.......

Nettie Jane Cantrell was the daughter of John Mason Cantrell and Sarah Angeline McKinsey. She was married twice...first to Wiley F Pelfrey who was the son of Daniel Boone Pelfrey and America Bryant, and second to Stanley Hale.

Can you please share where your records came from? I am very curious. I went back and reviewed all of my records and they all appear to be correct...and then I checked on other people's trees as well and most have what I have...only a few have what you have...perhaps they copied from this memorial?

The SSDI only has Hale and the Ohio Death Records has Hale but Ancestry added (Nettie P Pelfrey) below it. The P middle initial, I believe stands for Pelfrey, as her middle name was Jane. The 1930 census shows her married to Wallie Pelfrey, though his name was Wiley.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Happy Trails,
Nancy Lynn Blakeslee

Forgive me . . . LOL
I was so excited over the pictures on Maude's memorial that I asked questions first then opened the picture. Of course when I did you had the descriptions with it. I am still amazed, I truly hope you may have more and would be willing to share sometime.

RE: Kitzie Lansaw
Hi Linda, the only thing I have right now that shows her father is the 1910 census. I am going to the court house today and see if I can locate her marriage record and see what that says. Outside of knowing her parents were McKinley & Eliza Maloney from working on the tree-I have no solid proof. If I find something concrete, I will let you know.

Kitzie Lansaw
I have Kitzie as the daughter of McKinley & Eliza Maloney. Her obit shows her two living sisters, Clara Haddix & Patricia Fordice. May I ask where you got the names you have listed for her parents? I am working on the Maloney Tree for a friend.
