I've lived in Eugene, Oregon since I was a child (originally from Superior, Montana).|
Currently retired/disabled and photographing gravestones for a hobby and exercise.
Any and all photos that I have posted are for whoever wants them. Please feel free to use them and/or post them however you want. No reference or credit needs to be given me.
Note to other photographers:
Many (if not most) people would love to see their ancestor's gravestones in full and in their setting. When shooting a stone, please take it from a distance enough to capture the stone accordingly. If it's one of those old, tall stones, take two shots; one as described and one close-up of the name and dates.
I have had to add shots to hundreds of memorials that already had shots because the existing one was just a close-up of the name and dates.

|Bob Wilson||RE: Fergueson Cemetery|
It's been a couple of years since I was there, but I remember it pretty well. The Fergueson Cemetery is enclosed by private land, off Territorial Hwy, just north of Ferguson Road. The GPS coordinates given at Find a Grave are inaccurate; 44.254200, -123.288100 would be much closer. If you put those coordinates into Google maps (or just Google), then select the satellite view, it will show a grove of trees, mostly oaks, which surround & partially grow within the small cemetery. From memory, I would guess that it is no more than 1/3 to 1/2 acre, mostly enclosed by an old woven wire fence.
At that time I somewhat cleaned and photographed all of the visible gravestones. It appeared that one of the adjoining neighbors had been keeping the grass mowed, but apparently not the one whom I had contacted to gain access (the home just SE of the oak grove). By default then, I assume it was the folks at 95505 Territorial Hwy. I did not get names of either family.
The 1979 State listing of cemeteries lists it as one acre, 25 - 100 burials, "abandoned to nature." That list also shows an alternate name, Gideon Richardson cemetery, although it is quite possible that Gideon Richardson is instead buried at the Richardson cemetery some 10 miles farther south on Territorial Hwy. The Fergueson/Ferguson cemetery does not appear in the 2009 State listing of Historic Cemeteries.
If you have any other questions, feel free to post a reply, or send me a direct e-mail to the address posted on my profile.

Hi, thanks for letting me know! I moved his memorial and linked him to his parents. He is on the burial records for the Masonic Cemetery, so I also let the cemetery know what he had been moved to Camp Creek.

Thanks for doing that! Its always nice to get families linked.
Are the Chisholms in your family tree? I only ask because I see you are from Oregon, yet created memorials for this family buried in Milton, Ontario. Just curious.
