Zadoc/Sadoc Eby

I came across the Find A Grave memorial # 29761698 that you created for Sadoc Eby.

I am looking for a Zadoc Eby(may be a different spelling) who is listed as the father of Susanna Eby 1823-1918, married to Solomon Groff 1823-1898, on Susanna's PA Death Certificate. This Zadoc may have been born sometime late 1700s-early 1800s.

Because same names are past down through generations I thought perhaps these two Sadoc/Zadoc people may be connected.

Do you have any information on this Zadoc, father of Susanna Eby Groff?

Thanks for all you do with Find A Grave! ~Mountaineer

The Mount Gilead Cemetery (note spelling of Gilead) is not located in New Madrid County, it is in Dunklin County north of Clarkton on Highway 25. You have a posting for the above person in the Mount Giliad Cemetery listed in New Madrid County which should be posted in the correct Cemetery to avoid confusion. I would ask Find a Grave to consolidate the postings but they can not correct a cross county posting. Below is a link to the correct cemetery. - Thank you for your help in resolving this matter.

RE: Headstone Incorrect
Thank you for bringing it to my attention. When I documented the cemetery I evidently added her stone to his grave. I deleted it and will look for the file and add his picture to it. Thanks...

Mila, I was wondering if i could transfer Memorial #89169806 to you? Alfred J Davis is my great grandfather and Phoebe is his daughter. She is my great aunt.I'm not sure how much longer i will be able to maintain it and i would like them all to be connected since they're family. Could you please take it over? Sandra (Davis) Poston

Hi Mila, I added the death certificate for Martha Tiffany Thornton for you also. Not sure if you had that or not.

Here is a link to the obit, so that you can see it in the paper. I sent one for her husband to the person that manages his memorial, but it hasn't been posted yet.

Hopefully that link works! Here is the obit for her husband, in case you don't have it.

You are very welcome! Not sure if there was anything helpful in the obit, but it's always nice to have them.
