RE: Oliver H Lee & Jannette Parker Lee @ Green-Wood

The date on the Green-Wood Cemetery website is the interment date for the another Oliver Harrison Lee interred in the lot in 11 January 1852. (Index to Marriages and Deaths in the New York Herald, Vol. I: 1835-1855)

This is a very large family lot. I would suggest you request a hand searched list of all those who are interred in Lot 444, section 43. I appears not all residents of this lot where entered into the database.

Gertrude Barrall
I wont put Graham Barrall as her married name. I will link her to her first husband if you have his memorial number.

You are most welcome, and yes, it is a beautiful part of the country.

Ripleys in Lakewoood Cemetery, Cooperstown, NY
Hi Carole,
I am one of the many photo volunteers for the area in which you requested a photo from (Lakewood Cemetery, Cooperstown, NY). It's too bad you came all the way from Florida and were unable to find your 3rd gr-grandparents' graves! You said you lost the caretakers business card and wanted to give you that info. It is:
William Truax
P.O. Box 1314
Cooperstown, NY 13326
ph: 607-547-9662

You are right, this cemetery is very difficult to get into this time of year! There is a couple of photo volunteers that I am aware of that venture out in the cemeteries in the winter to take their chances in filling photo requests, so they may just get this one for you! If not, I am saving your request and will see what I can do after the snow is gone.
The records at the office for this cemetery were quite a mess a couple of years ago when the new super took over! He has been working hard at "fixing" this. Last I knew he was making new cemetery maps that are more user friendly instead of just the mural sized one in the office. I'm surprised that when you were there he didn't take you right where the graves are located! He and his wife are very nice and extremely helpful! Good luck!

RE: THANKS for Orange Chauncey photo!
My honor, Carole. The more I looked at his name, the more I wondered if he had been an Irish Protestant.

RE: Josephine F Caldwell in Orlando FL
It's been too long since I've been at that cemetery, but either there was not a person listed on the other side, or there was not a death date so I removed the name - I can't remember which though.

RE: DREW @ Harmony
Will do and THANKS, Carole, I thought the sunlight looked a little strong for Dec. ;-) Bill VH

RE: DREW @ Harmony
Sounds familiar...I've got about 30 to go. If I didn't catch it this year I plan on going back up next fall. I see you have a request in for them. NEXT year I'll remember to print it up rather than trying to take pictures of all of them. I'm glad I found one of your relatives! Yours might point me in the direction of where I left off.
Warmest regards from a dreary day in Florida.
