I don't know. I was using a list. I suppose there may have been a type-o in the list. Until someone posts a photo of the grave it will be a mystry. I live in Union County, Ohio now 140 miles away. Plus I don't have a car anymore. I used to live in Gallia Co., so it was easy to just run over there but after my husband died, I moved.

I have transfered them to you. You should be receiving a transfer notice from Find A Grave.

RE: Elsie Colwell
You are most welcome. This was my first time as a photo volunteer, as I am new to "Find A Grave". It was a truly amazing experience. I think the placement of the stained glass was just for Elsie...

I am a teacher and my time is limited since we are now back in school, but if there is anything that I can do to help in your research in this region, let me know and I'll either point you in the right direction or do some leg work for you. My great grandfather was in the Span. Am War also. He went into camp in NC and became ill after only a few days there. We always knew this as the "family story" but I have found no military documents to confirm the story. Until this summer, I finally located an obit that gave more facts. It has helped me to now turn my search in different directions. I have been told that the record keeping during the Span. Am. War was atrocious. This may be why you are having trouble documenting anything. k khgrogg@gmail.com

Thank you for your response. I never know the situations of those whom I choose to photograph but I know that if I was searching for a lost loved one, I would want to know that they lay in a safe place. The area where Charles was laid to rest is one of the most beautiful and well cared for cemeteries that I have ever seen. His grave site is located near the shade of several trees and it was a refreshing area for me to take photos during a time when the temps were in the upper 90's. I always say a prayer for the family and one of thanks for each veteran that I photograph.

Thank you for adding the photo of Fred Castillo. Do you have any additional information about him? I did see the information you added in the photo caption.

Thanks!
