Bio Photo Some prominent names in my family tree are:

I grew up in Arkansas, but I have spent 30 years in North Carolina. I began researching my family's history about 10 years ago after my Aunt requested I do it in her memory. She lived 90+ years and I thought I owed her that much, but it turned out that I really enjoyed it and love the discovery of family history I never knew existed. Feel free to use any of the photos or information that I have posted on the memorials.

I have received some very nasty messages from some of the gravers/historians that contribute here, and I will say upfront, I don’t like “mean” people. I consider bullies to be “mean” people, so you may want to be reflective. is a database and is only as good as the information entered. Duplicates comprise the database and information keyed into the wrong fields will cause the memorial to sort improperly when being queried by users of the database.

I am a MS (multiple sclerosis) warrior and I fight the fight everyday. I have progressive MS and am unable to go out and research like I would if I were not ill, but I do what I can when I can. I have a huge family and hundreds of relatives so there is always something to work on.

I will help anyone in any way I can in their search, so if you have any suggestions or questions, please let me know. I am not a “historical glory hound” so I am not trying to amass as many memorials as I can. I will transfer or change as necessary unless they are my close family as well. My main goal is to preserve as much historical data as possible by populating the database with correct information. Once were gone, it may be lost forever unless we record it for prosperity. developed the “edit” options in order for us to share corrections more easily. When someone asks for an edit, there is probably a very good reason for the request and it only requires the contributor to push a button to accept.

Happy Hunting!!!

Inquiry about Photo
I have been doing some research into my family history and came across a photo that you added of John F. Steele. He is my great-great-great grandfather and I was curious if you could tell me where this photo came from. I would love to be able to find more photos and would appreciate any help to find additional photos of my relatives. Thanks in advance for help in this matter!

Mancell Ray
There was a duplicate of Mr. Ray in Chapel Hill. I deleted mine.

If a person is not retired or KIA the rank is not to be used in the title. I was not aware of these government guidelines until recently.

Below is information regarding the government guidelines. I follow this. If they are retired I am happy to use the rank. Otherwise I don't.

The information below is what I go by as it is prohibited to use the military except for particular situations. "Use of rank/rating is reserved for those who retire. Officers and enlisted personnel who resign their rank/rating (discharged) are prohibited from using them as a part of their name after their service. If they are killed in action, of course, they would continue to use the rank as they were never discharged." If you Google the question there are many articles and protocol to review.

# 9908445 George Samuel Lamb
Hello, I am researching the Lamb family for a friend. The bio for this man says he is the son of George Arthur Lamb and Rosie House but I believe he is the son of Thomas Franklin Lamb and Clementine Hollowell and born in Lafayette Co. Mississippi. He lived in Van Zandt Co. Texas before marrying and moving to Arkansas.
I know you didn't create the original but hope you can help with this.
Thanks, Don Rubarts Find A Grave (#46951019)
