Bio and Links
FIND A GRAVE HAS RULES, THEY ARE FOR EVERYONE NOT JUST A FEW.
To many adding burial unknown and putting in the wrong cemetery JUST to make their family tree.

Some think they can do what they want and if they get caught get mad. We all have to respect the rule of Find A Grave.
It is a grave registration site and not a family tree. YES links are nice but not if you plop them in wrong cemetery's and make burial unknown and hope someone will do the work for you.
"This site is for recording burials. It is not a family tree maker".

In regard to duplicates, a memorial with a correct known burial location will always be preferred over an unknown burial location.

I DO NOT LINK TO BURIAL UNKNOWN.

DO NOT ADD birth records, Death records, scanned obituary's or other documents.
The place for them is Ancestry.com of a family tree site.
I do not add cut and paste census. I will add a bio.

SEE PHOTO General Rules:HERE

Location of body unknown must be used for recent deaths where the disposition is not currently known. Final disposition must be determined and updated within 30 days.

I will Only add the last name that is on the stone. Not 2 last names. If 2 are on the stone I will add them.

I add the dates that are on the stone. If it is wrong I will add it to the Bio.

Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request.
I will transfer your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren ONLY.

I DO NOT ADD BURIAL UNKNOWN LIKE SO MANY DO. THEN WHEN SOMEONE FINDS THE RIGHT CEMETERY THEY MOVE THEIRS AND SAY THE ONE WHO DID THE WORK MADE A DOUBLE. IF YOU READ THE FAQ"S YOU WILL SEE YOU ARE WRONG.

IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHERE THEY ARE BURIED YOU SHOULD NOT ADD THEM TO A GRAVE REREGISTRATION SITE.
Find a grave will remove a burial unknown if someone adds it to the right cemetery. Do the work and find them before you add them. Do not move your burial unknown and tell the person who added it first to a cemetery they made a double. Find a grave can tell if you moved it and will remove yours.

if you want a bio added I will add it and give you credit for it.

You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management.
Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request.

Transfer requests will be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

What is Find A Grave?
Find a Grave's mission is to find, record and present final disposition information from around the world as a virtual cemetery experience.

Memorial contributions to Find A Grave must fulfill that mission - registration of the final disposition. If the memorial contribution corresponds with only the main mission, then the memorial fulfills its purpose as part of Find A Grave's mission.

Find a Grave memorials may contain rich content including pictures, biographies and more specific information. Members can leave remembrances via 'virtual flowers' on the memorials they visit, completing the virtual cemetery experience.

Find A Grave is a resource for anyone in finding the final disposition of family, friends, and 'famous' individuals.
