Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Sharon and I was born in California but did my growing up in good old Utah. I live in northern Virginia now. I plan on going to lots of cemeteries once I get used to the area. We moved here in Oct of 2011.
I have two beautiful daughters, one adorable little son and a great husband.
I am really looking forward to finding my ancestors and helping people find theirs. This is a wonderful site and I look forward to adding as many names as I can find.

Sharon: I did not know Minnie was the daughter of John and Agnes Stoops. Their monument is one of the "old and best" at Oak Hill. John is on our Civil War list to place a flag at his grave on Memorial Day. Another volunteer at our cemetery whose plot is directly next to the Stoops has been leveling stones and doing a great cleanup...In this process we have edged, mowed closely around John and Agnes in preparation of Memorial Day. THANK You for the updates.

Please remove this from Nicholas "Nick" Schnoor Find A Grave Memorial Page. This spouse link is not correct.

As mentioned in his obituary, Nick was married 1st to Bertha Stoltenberg in 1862. She died in 1886. He was married to his second wife Wiebke (who also went by the name of Mary) (Messer) Hauberg, in 1888. Wiebke married her first husband, Jergen Hauberg, in 1867 and he died in 1887. Wiebke Schnoor died in 1932 in Moline, Illinois. I have a copy of her obituary. I am a great granddaughter of Nicholas Schnoor and his second wife, Wiebke (Messer) Schnoor.

Thank you.

Scared Heart
Sharon - I'm related to the Mark family and like you just about everybody up there. I only live a couple miles from the cemetery and saw that there weren't many grave photos so I made that my mission for the day! haha

I've found another correction - Frederick J Schubmehl 9/11/1902-12/10/1969

Sharon - I'm so sorry I called you Susan in my earlier post. My friend Susan was here visiting and I goofed. :-(
