Bio and Links
Bio Photo Karin Gallagher is a cemetery enthusiast who currently dwells in the Sacramento Area. She enjoys exploring cemeteries all over California from Humboldt to Hollywood.

-"I first used this site to find graves of the famous. Recently I was going through old photo scrapbooks that my great grandmother started. They were filled with tons of family info, obituaries and photographs from 1880s-1980s. I decided that the information and photos contained in these scrapbooks were much too precious to be kept moldering in a drawer. My hope is that this info helps to bring the memorials to life and that it might help others to trace their own family history. Even if it doesn't succeed in doing so it has been fascinating documenting my own family's past."

John & Hannah Wolfe

Thanks for sharing the information regarding John & Hannah.

In researching my family history in England, I have found John & Hannah Wolfe. I believe that the name details for Hannah are incorrect and that she was born Hannah Jane Mercer in 1858 in East Peckham, Kent, England. I do have details and documented records for her siblings, parents and maternal grandparents.

Sarah A. Steiner
Hi Karin,

I am helping a famjly with their genealogy and and would like to know if you found any obituary for Sarah A. Steiner. This family descends from Carl R. Pierson, Sarah's only biological son. How do you relate to her husband, Samuel Steiner?

Hi Karin, It has been done. Thank you for the info. Would you like the memorial transferred to you? I just photographed the cemetery, and have no connection to these people.
Thanks, and have a great day.

RE: Joshua Shriver

The way I figure it, we are third cousins as our grandfathers were first cousins. Contact me at for more discussion.

RE: Joshua Shriver

Have we corresponded before? Joshua Shriver was my great-grandfather and I have considerable family information about him. I have been working on a family history of the Shrivers. How are you related to the Joshua Shrivers?

You'll definitely want to plan a visit to the Rocks Estate in Bethlehem while you're in NH. Wonderfully preserved by the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, which operates a year-round d Christmas tree farm there with the proceeds supporting upkeep of the property. The Rocks was the Glessners' model, "scientific" farm which was supposed to inspire all the local dirt farmers to upgrade their outlook, but mostly didn't. :-) The Glessners spent more building their Piggery structure on a stone foundation that farmers back then would clear in five years.
