I have found duplicates for this person. The memorial numbers are as follows:
|Don Burrow||Donald Duane Burrow Sr. (Wooten Springs cemetery)|
Donald Duane Burrow Sr. is my birth Father. My mother is (Avis)June Longan. I have very limited knowledge of his side of the family. Wondering if we could chat a bit?
|Elizabeth Morris||Joseph & Birdie Akin|
Hi Michelle, I finally got on Ancestry and am working on the family. I have a lot of information from Eva Bentley, I think. Would appreciate any help and glad to help you. Who was John Akin and how was he related to Joe, Sr.
|JoAnn Henry Phillips||RE: Stricklands|
Thanks. This is what I thought. My uncle left a list of this stuff, and it is also what he said. Thanks again.
|JoAnn Henry Phillips||Stricklands|
Michelle, I am the granddaughter of Mary E Strickland Henry, buried at Red Lick. Her father James Stout Strickland and his wife Bettie Akin Strickland are buried there, too, as you know. Do you have any information as to the names of their children? I keep finding different names listed in different family trees on Ancestry.com. Is there a definitive list of all these Stricklands? You can email me any time at
Would really love to hear from you.
Joann Henry Phillips
|Teresa Harris||Use of your photos...|
We corresponded via email a few years ago and I think you shared photos of Minnie and maybe the photo of Mary Elizabeth Clark Stephens Harris with me. I'd like to use these in a history book and give you a photo credit with your permission. Please contact me via email if you have my addy, otherwise here.
|Jana Goodwin||Akin family....|
Hello Michell's, I am a descendent from some of the Akins and am doing some family geneology. If you have any information we can compare notes. Or if anyone else reading this does... please feel free to contact me at email@example.com. thank you! JANA :)
|Robert Lee Hewgley||John C. Glass|
I need numbers before I can do any links for this person.
|Laura Virgil||Georgia Bell Day Akin|
I have been searching on my pastor's name (Dr. Tom Wilbanks) for members of my church or other individuals who have passed at whose services he officiated. I'm trying to add them to F-A-G, if they are not already here.
I found Georgia Bell Day Akin's obituary and then a connection in Rootsweb, which gives your name as having submitted it.
I searched on F-A-G for Mrs. DAY, not realizing, until I was finished, that her actual married name was AKIN. The mistake was mine based on how her name was listed in her obituary. When I searched for her husband, that's when I really realized my mistake, and found the link to your memorial of Mrs. Akin.
In any event, I created a memorial for her here -- #105030866 - with her obituary and the added information from Rootsweb. I did not mean to duplicate any information. If you'd care to copy the information (I formatted it with italics and bold), please feel free. If you'd like for me to transfer it to you, please let me know. If you'd prefer, however, for me to delete it, which I assume you would like to do eventually, to avoid duplicates, please also let me know.
I wish I could help you with information on your family, especially your pioneer family past. I'm not related in any way, but I had friends (decades ago) who lived in New Boston. I'm attempting to trace my Dad's maternal lineage, but, I've been trying for nearly 40 years and have gotten absolutely nowhere, other than she was married to my grandfather, was my Dad's mother and was born in Indian Territory to French immigrant settlers, making her a French citizen. She always thought she had been an American.
I love Texas history and have a B.A. in the subject (I used to teach the subject). If you know of any books on Bowie County history, I'd love to read them.
Again, I apologize for duplicating your memorial; it wasn't intentional.
(a proud Native Texan)
My Grandparents were Rodolph and Angeline Embry Carpenter, and my Great Grandmother was Mary Florence Post Carpenter. I have some information on the Post family, that might be of some interest to you.
I also have quite of bit of information on The Carpenter Family, from Texarkana. And a little bit of information on the Bickly Family.
I would love to hear from any descendants, of any of these families, or anybody with connections or information on the EMBRY family, from Ashdown and/or Mena Arkansas. Embry, was my Grandmother's maiden name.
Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
