|HI, I AM 60 RETIRED,AND AN AVID GENEALOGIST.I JUST RECENTLY STARTED LOOKING FOR REQUESTS FOR TOMBSTONE PICTURES,AND REALLY ENJOY THE SEARCH.FAMILY HISTORY IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME,AND IF BY TAKING PICTURES,I CAN IN SOME WAY SAVE A LITTLE PART OF PEOPLE'S HISTORY,THEN I FEEL LIKE I'VE ACCOMPLISHED SOMETHING. I LIVE IN ODESSA,TEXAS,AND WILL GLADLY CHECK OUT CEMETERIES WITHIN A 200 MILE RADIUS, AND FARTHER IF I CAN. IF I HAVE MADE A MISTAKE OR IF I LIST SOMEONE THAT YOU WANT TRANSFERRED ,LET ME KNOW.|
FEEL FREE TO USE MY PHOTO'S;JUST PLEASE GIVE ME CREDIT FOR TAKING THEM OR OWNING THEM.-- I have the only photo of one of my great grandmother's on here. Someone added it to their family tree on Ancestry.com with no mention of where they got it,or what family link it came from. Now it's being added from one tree to another,without anyone being aware of our link into that family.I don't think that is right.
If anyone comes across "any" family of theirs I've listed and you would like to manage their memorial's,just let me know.I don't do this to build up numbers,but to try and save as much family history on these stones as I can.It doesn't matter to me how close or how far apart the family link may be.

Thank you for the links. They are not related to me, only their sister by marriage. Thanks again!

Thank you, Ladonna, for your kindness and all the work you put into Find A Grave.
|Meredith Leischer||RE: William Kupkufske|
The Kupkufske's are no relation of mine. It just so happened that I found an obit for William's first wife while looking for my relatives and just couldn't pass up looking for connections and family. I wonder what took them to Texas since they started out in Wisconsin (where I live). But, of course, it probably wouldn't be that unusual since I lived in Midland for 2 years while I worked for Union Oil Co. of California (1979-1980).

Okay, thanks for responding. I didn't realize that ancestry had bought them. I know I am now finding a lot of links on findagrave when I am searching on ancestry.
I think I will contact them too. Maybe they will finally figure it out & correct it.

Sure I'd be happy to manage his memorial since he is a relative. Thank you!

LaDonna, thank you very much for transferring the memorial on my uncle, and thank you for all that you do for findagrave.com.

Thanks for the offer of a transfer, but Lou and Thomas Scruggs aren't family. They are part of a historical society project I'm working on.
Lou's father was one of the early pioneers of Menard County and Thomas' father was a County Judge. I knew where most of the family members were buried except Thomas and Lou and decided to "find them". With a newspaper article directing me to Odessa and all your hard work on the cemeteries in that area....I was able to find their final resting place. Thanks again.
