Revised/Updated June 30, 2015:|
Late last year, I completed the uploading of pix of the markers and monuments that I could find at the Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park.
It is believed that all of the headstones have been covered. However, there are still about 1000 Memorials without a marker picture.
Currently, I am re-photographing or re-editing many of my early pix as they are not satisfactory (I am an amateur and working at improving my product). Meanwhile, If the reader sees one of my pictures that could be improved upon, please let me know and I will try to fix it.
Concurrently, I am transferring the Rose Hill Memorials that I have created to Becky Saar Leone. She is already caring for many Memorials in Rose Hill and has done a wonderful job in matching deceased family members.
Once this is done, it is my intention to track down as many of the still un-photographed Memorials as I can. They might have been missed for many reasons:
- original Picture removed by a previous photographer;
- marker completely covered by dirt and/or vegetation (found 26 so far), etc.;
- duplicate Memorial, often with a variant spelling of the name (I have identified as many duplicate Memorials as I could, but it is likely that there are more);
- still living;
- recently deceased and waiting for a marker;
- unmarked grave;
- marker no longer legible;
- not actually buried here (there are more than a couple of dozen "Rose Hills" in Texas!).
If the reader would like a marker picture for a Memorial not yet photographed, and the location is known (location can be obtained from the cemetery office), please contact me and I will take care of it.
I have photographed many stones that had no Memorial. While I have created Memorials for these graves as I come to them, it is understood that some might be duplicates. If the reader sees a duplicate, please let me know (or Beckie, if I have already made the transfer to her) & that will be corrected. If the reader sees any errors, or can add information on these new Memorials, please let me know.
MERGING OF DUPLICATE FILES:
Many times, the duplicate file contains more information than the original. While there is no specific "merge button" that I can find, I have had success with merging Memorials by sending an e-message to:
giving them all relevant information. It takes no more than 2 weeks to get results.
Finally, if you are related (however remotely) to anyone whose Memorials I still have, please let me know and I will be happy to make the transfer.

Greetings- This couple were my step-grandparents for 17 years. Their blood granddaughter is my adopted sister. Please consider transferring both of their memorials 129106533 and 129106550 to me for care. Thank you!Bill Plies (#47807595)

Thanks Tony. I'm only very distantly related to Lyle (per his research) though our common Williams line. Officially he would be my seventh cousin, three times removed if his research is correct. We would be related though my ninth great grandfather Matthew Williams (often referred to as Matthew Williams II, born about 1651, died 1732).
Appreciate the writeup on all of Lyle's books, I hadn't realized he had produced so many. I was only interested in those that talked about the Williams family.

Hi is there anyway that you would be able to take the photos that you posted on Beatrice's find A Grave as she already has a picture of her headstone taken by me.
|Lloyd Holman||Memorial Headstone Photos|
Hi Tony, I would like to request your permission to copy photos of headstones that you have uploaded to a couple of memorials and add them to my ancestry.com family tree.
1st memorial; Thomas Jefferson Holman (25520993), my 1st cousin 3x removed.
2nd memorial; Mary Elizabeth Harrell (25520992), wife of 1st cousin 3x removed.
Do you have other photos of headstones for Holman?
