RE: Richard Prather #104924322
I tried to send a reply the other day but not sure it worked.

James Hugh Prather is my granduncle and I know the names of his children. According to, Richard's parents are James Hamilton and Elizabeth (Wallace) Prather.

If you need more information, please contact me.

RE: Carlton cemetery

I think the cemetery is well documented but that doesn't mean that someone wasn't missed. The "expert" that you should contact is Elreeta Weathers, . She had done a great deal of genealogy research in that area and might be able to provide information on your relatives even if they are not buried at Carlton.

Good luck!

Hi Sherry, thank you for your note. I understand what you're saying about the linkages. What I wasn't sure when I sent the correction was that there is actually an error on his death certificate. What you have on his memorial is consistent with what is on the death certificate, so I assume that is why my edit was declined. It was a good challenge and it turns out that I am unable to definitively demonstrate the father's name correctly as Richard and not William Ulacious. I created the 'burial unknown memorials' temporarily to find others, and it seems to have worked. Within days of doing that, the correct real place for his mother Emma Adams has been found, but with errors and missing info. Now I see the trouble my approach can cause.

You will have to decide if you can accept a parental linkage to a memorial with errors. She is #11975013. I am satisfied knowing from her great-grandson (who read me the obituary) that this is her. He is going to search his film archives for photographs from before the writing was illegible.

Sherry, my headstone is in the ground at Restland but I'M NOT DEAD YET! I live in Richardson, TX and have since 2000. Before that I lived in North Dallas for over 33 years.

Thank you for reminding me to link George to his parents! Also, thanks for the bio sketch, again (sorry about dropping the ball on your January request!). I do have a PDF of the book. Just didn't think to add the quote. Having "helpers" on Find A Grave is great!

Nancy, not Graham
I did write you that I would change the name and that someone would probably come back and have me change it again, but then I pushed send. Didn't realize that I was sending that back to '' no reply findagrave ''.
Then when I was about to send this one, I forgot the real last name, lol. Having a lot of fun with my mind, lol.
