Bio and Links
Bio Photo Found findagrave when I was doing some internet research on a old family grave site located on our youth camp property. We then took pictures of all the grave sites in the cemetery, added pictures to the memorials that were already created and ended up creating almost a dozen more. From there we decided to document the dozen or so small family cemeteries located in our 20 mile long Appalachian valley that we live in. Enjoying getting to know the history and people of our area.

If I created a memorial for one of your relatives, just let me know and we will transfer. Love answering photo requests, especially in other area cemeteries that haven't been photographed. A

RE: Altizer Family Cemetery
My directions to the Altizer Cemetery - at Chestnut Ridge, near Riner, Montgomery Co., Virginia - it is about seven miles SW of Riner. Take Rt. 8 south from Christiansburg, turn right onto Rt. 673, then right onto Rt. 672, then left onto Rt. 695. Continue on that road (it will turn into gravel--or at least it did ten years ago), and the cemetery is on the right at the end of the road. There was a big sign; and it had been newly fenced at that time. I remember the ridge as being so very beautiful, looking over the edge at a white spired church in the distance.

RE: Treesh
Good job! It's finally stopped raining in the Pacific NW and I think I'll go mow some rows tomorrow.

Thanks for taking and posting the tombstone photo for Curtis Victor Lester. It supplied a date I did not have. I appreciate your help.

RE: Treesh Cemetery, Blair Co PA
They'll probably take the hand drawn map, but the GPS needs to go in the "Cemetery Corrections" Forum. Do you know how to do that? If not, I can take your coords and do it for you. The "w" one needs a minus sign in front.

Hi, I stumbled upon this today, it looks like the GPS coords are wrong for this cemetery:

Since you have taken some photos there, can you provide more accurate info? The cemetery lands waaaaaay off from Blair County on Find A Grave. Thanks!
