Bio Photo (Desperately hoping someone, anyone, will create a new website called FIND AN OBIT. This is not the place for adding someone who passed away yesterday especially when often there's no cemetery or disposition even mentioned. Many times family would like to add their own loved ones & resent having to wait for a transfer, if they even receive one. Hats off to those Find A Gravers who dig out the old obituaries & add them to memorials. That's what makes this site so helpful for genealogy purposes. Adding this week's death total is just morbid & ghoulish, especially when three people add the same person on the same day. Who was first? Numbers shouldn't be the goal here! Just my opinion)

My interests are genealogy & history, especially military history~God Bless our veterans & active duty servicemen & women!

I really enjoy visiting cemeteries searching for ancestors & always try to take some other grave photos while there. It's fascinating to read some of the older inscriptions & see the style & design that went into the older monuments.

Find A Grave is the best site on the web & has helped me a lot. It's enabled me to find family members who moved away years ago & some that I thought I'd never find.

We've all lost loved ones, wonderful people we'll never forget. This site gives us an opportunity to remember them with photographs, obituaries, family stories & monument photos. It's always a great feeling when someone finds a family member that they'd been unable to locate. I'm sure that's what makes this site so very popular!

I'm always happy to transfer family members or make corrections or additions! I'll gladly remove a memorial, also, if requested. Feel free to use any of the memorial photos I've posted for your family tree,, etc.!

RE: Fanz Endres or Francis Enders
Dee would you consider transferring the memorial to me. I know you don't have to and I will understand if you say no, but thought I would ask since I am researching this family. My Find A Grave number is 48169217.
I await your decision.

graves at St Pauls Hillsboro
The full name of the Director of the Retreat Center at Hillsboro in the previous message should read "Mrs. Francie Thayer". Sorry for the omission.

egraves at St Pauls Hillsboro MD
Mrs. Francie is the Director of the Retreat Center at St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Hillsboro MD. She is currently involved in a restoration of the cemetery stones and the plantings around the church and cemetery. She is hoping to have a rededication of the cemetery on Friday evening October 30th or Sunday November 1st 2015. She is trying to learn as much as she can about the people buried there. Also she hopes to identify descendants or relatives of the people buried there. I can supply information on the members of the Beaven family. Can you help us with other families? You can reach me directly at Thank you
If others reading this message can help with the two goals we would be glad to hear from you at the same email address.

Fanz Endres or Francis Enders
Good morning Dee,
First let me thank you for all your do on Find a Grave. You certainly help many of us find our long lost relatives.

I wanted to ask your assistance with a memorial and some confusion I have. You posted a memorial for a Francis Enders (#95133397) died 22 June 1897 saying the parents are Sigmund and Caroline Enders. I am confused because according to my records Caroline and Sigmund married in 1894 and had only two children John (16 July 1898) and John ( 26 May 1897)that I could find. The only other Francis I could find was born to Sigmund and Carrie Endres married 1899. Their Francis was born 18 July 1909 and died July 1978.

I have a great uncle Francis born about 1856 and have thought that his DOD was 22 June 1897 and buried in St Peter's and according to the cemetery records a Franz is in the same plot as his brothers, Joseph, Lawrence, John, Sigmund and sister or mother Catherine. Their parents are Catherine and Peter Endres. (Can't find Peter's final resting place.)Please note the various spellings of Endres as Endress or Enders.

Can you help solve this mystery, who is burned in grave site D 64 2? My great uncle or your infant.
Thank you for reading this letter and helping me to solve the mystery.
Sincerely, Barbara

Frank Kimmel
RE: Frank J Kimmel 1885-1948
Thank you, Dee
I guess I'll have to go out there and see for myself. I'm not sure that Andrew D was Catholic, although he was married to Maggie Hoffman at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Wolfe Street in Fells Point about 1884. Frank John was born a year later. He had a brother George who died in 1904 (and from what I heard from another source there were 8 other siblings who died young) Frank was also a foreman at the Water Treatment plant.I'll check out Holly Hill Memorial Gardens too.

Frank J Kimmel 1885-1948
I'm researching my family and apparently there are some who I assume would also be interred at Oak Lawn Cemetery but are not. I spoke to the office there and was told that Frank J Kimmel and Andrew A Kimmel (1907-1975) and his son Andrew J Kimmel (1936-1970) have graves there. Frank J's father, Andrew D is unaccounted for. He moved from Baltimore in the after 1910 and bought property there in Essex and died in the 40's. Where else would he be buried? My grandmother Catherine Kimmel nee Bender (1908-1976) should also be there. I'm at a loss as to where to look for them.

Hallie also had a daughter Annie Nicholson, this was my grandmother. Her married name is Moore, husband is Carlous Moore. They moved to Chicago Illinois not sure of the day.
