Native Texan married a native Minnesotan living in Maryland for 30+ years. Grandparents: Byerly, Haley, Woods, Brown, Dreis, Beissel, Kruse, Schmitz.|
The information found on headstones has been very helpful in my genealogy research. If anyone ever wants to use a photo I have taken, that is fine. I don't own the headstones, so I do not claim ownership of the photos. Thanks to all who upload photos, so helpful for those so far away.

|Kathy Brochman Merchant||John Peter Brochmann|
John Peter (Johann) Brochmann 22 Aug 1820 to 30 Aug 1903.
Thank you for your photos and info. Your transcript of the tombstone says you couldn't read the town name before the word "Grossen".
It says "Diekirch" which is the city of Diekirch in the county of also Diekirch, Luxembourg. Many of the Minnesota Brochman's are originally from Diekirch and the very nearby suburb of Gilsdorf.
Some settled first in Washington Cty, Wis, and eventually migrated to Minnesota once territory opened up for land grants and we became a state. There are many Brochman's still in Minnesota today.

|Michael Minnich||Crownsville Veterans Cemetery|
Hi, I was stopped at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery today for taking pictures of rows of markers. It is not allowed. It is OK to do photo requests there. Privacy issue. Contact Christopher Piscitelli, 410-923-6981 to request permission. I never have seen any rules prohibiting such photography but will abide by their rules. Mike
Over the last few weeks, I was able to link over 225 family members. Thanks so much for your help.
