Moses Magoon
Thank you so much for your very kind work! It obviously means a lot to a lot of people. My request: There is some controversy in the Magoon family about whether the Moses buried here is the one b. 1755 in Epping, NH, (with lots of genealogy online), or whether he was, as the second plaque says, b. 1757 in France. It appears the plaque on the ground was placed later. The next time you are in the cemetery, would it be possible to take a rubbing of the original stone to see whether it gives a birth year or an age to help settle this matter? (And/or perhaps is there is some administrative body that can identify who paid for the second stone?) Thank you. Pat

RE: White Family Gravestone
Thank you...what I am trying to figure is who paid to put such a large and inclusive monument up from the is new I believe. Their son, Thaddeus and his wife Miranda Trow also have a newer monument for them in Lake Elmore Cemetery...I do have relatives somewhere honoring their (and my direct) ancestors and I would like to contact them, if possible.

You have photographed her stone in Plainfield Village Cemetery, Plainfield (Washington Cty) Vt. Her parents grave stone Jonathon and Clara White and their family is a new one at the far left of the cemetery as you face it from the parking area. I saw the stone this summer...did you see it when you were there and is it possible you could go back and research, photo it??

RE: Jeskey
You're welcome. The Jeskey boys and my father were friends. The boys had the grocery store in amsterdam and my father had the movie theatre plus he was the post master.

RE: Welch headstones
I have a long list of Welches etc. from Groton Village Cemetery in my tree that I'd like to get pictures for - Find A Grave only lets me do a few photo requests a week... I've been sending updates to the owners of the FindAGrave memorials trying to time them together...
