Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a married, retired social worker from Orange County, Vermont. I am perpetually working on my own family genealogy (Clark, Lackey, Royce branches in Vermont for now...). I am also doing a complete inventory of all graves in Strafford, Vermont. I love to take photos along the way.

My constant companions are my Mini-Dachshund Emmett and my American Bulldog Leo. We are very good at ignoring signs that say 'no dogs allowed' hehehe...

I PREFER to transfer memorials (I'd rather they are in the care of family!)So don't be shy; just ask! I also do not mind forwarding photos of better resolution (If I still have them).

I do not load many stones during nice weather. I stock up for the loooong VT winter. So if you have a request off season, I will surely look though my vaults for it!

My favorite part of grave hunting is just that, searching for and finding requests for you!

I also seek to digitally preserve the stones of our Civil War Veterans and am a contributor to It's an amazing website for those of you who are enthusiasts.

The best way to thank me for fulfilling your request would be to support the memorial. You're supporting FindaGrave directly. Its only $5 a memorial and I think that's well worth the service they provide us.

In peace! Joie from South Strafford, VT

RE: regarding Ezra
Hi Joie, I apologize I got the Ezras backwards. I should have sent it to the one create in Nov. and not yours. I will send it to Admin to merge as the other person is inactive. Glad you caught that and again sorry. Denise.

Hi Jo, I didn't realize that you also created the memorials for Joseph and Persis Norton Porter, son and daughter-in-law to Susannah West Porter Hardie. Could you also transfer their memorials to me so I can manage them??? I do appreciate that !!!! Thanks, you are great!! West April

Alvah Judd
Hi Joie;
I saw this headstone and I saw that someone else had also taken the same photo but they have listed unknown name...
I know that it is very difficult to make it out, but I was wondering if you have tried doing an impression of it. Kind of going back as kids when you take a paper and cover it and then lightly scribble/color over it and see if the name and dates come out? I am really, really curious if this really is Alvah Judd. If so, that would be awesome because I can't find any documentation one when he died and he was my 6th Great Grand Uncle. 'Thank You'.

RE: Durkee
It is a shame abt these stones left unprotected. at least in this case historical records as back up.

Chandler/Old city Cem.
That is truly amazing that you found all of these stones still intact.Good for you for getting them as they probably will not be there much longer.
I sent you a bunch of edits. They are not mine.I just thought that one was.So one thing led to the other.

Dunham and related families.
Joie, thank you for all of your work! I've seen your work for a long time now, and it has added to my family search many times. Thank goodness for the LACKEY and DUNHAM connection. Without it I may have never had the distinct pleasure to see your contributions to my research!!!
Your cousin, Warren Dunham.
