I am a married social worker from Orange County, Vermont. I am perpetually working on my own family genealogy (Clark, Lackey, Royce branches in Vermont for now...) and love to take photos along the way. I have a Canon G10 and a Nikon D-70 for back up.
I PREFER to transfer memorials (I'd rather they are in the care of family!)So don't be shy; just ask! I also do not mind forwarding photos of better resolution (If I still have them).
I do not load many stones during nice weather. I stock up for the loooong VT winter. So if you have a request off season, I will surely look though my vaults for it!
My favorite part of grave hunting is just that, searching for and finding requests for you!
I also seek to digitally preserve the stones of our Civil War Veterans and am a contributor to http://vermontcivilwar.org It's an amazing website for those of you who are enthusiasts.
The best way to thank me for fulfilling your request would be to support the memorial. You're supporting FindaGrave directly. Its only $5 a memorial and I think that's well worth the service they provide us.
In peace! Joie from South Strafford, VT | |

 | Plumley Hello, This may seem odd but I recently bought an antique 1895 American Diary with the name "Rush" Plumley of Sherbure, Rutland, Vermont and I have reason to believe (after reasearch) that it belonged to Ralph Plumley, who I saw was your great great grandfather.Added by Matthew on Apr 02, 2013 6:21 PM | | | Rita Gibson

 | (wife of) Hovey, Thetford, VT Good morning Joie,
A heartfelt Thank You for transferring my ancestor's memorial page, and so quickly! I'm very grateful for your having originated this tribute, and photo documenting the timeworn stone so well that it could be matched to that which is identified as Anne (Huntington) Hovey's in the 1913 "Hovey Book." Your kind efforts mean so much to those of us at a distance, and I look forward to augmenting your thoughtful contribution. Happy Holidays!

 | Maria Roxanna Corser Hi Joie, Thank you for entering all of my Corser Relatives tombstones. I live in Indiana and it is great to see these from so many miles away. I believe you have put Maria Roxanna Corser's mothers headstone on her gravesite by mistake. Al Weatherburn | | | Jen Snoots
 | Lillian Lackey Dunham I just sent you a message but got to poking around more just now and found her birth record

 | RE: Lackey Hi Jo, Don't have Fold3 or Ancestry (too broke), only have Family Search. I did bump into Marvin Lackey's death record and noted with interest that it said he died in Frederick, Md. I used to live in Frederick. Lots of neat Civil War sites in that area. I digress! Some of what I found at Family Search...

 | RE: Civil War Virtual Hi Jo, Yeah, I am not enjoying the rain either...it is really messing with my plans, and hubby has more free time off the next couple weeks. I want sunshine! I forgot about the Vermont 251 Club. I'm from Maryland but I've been to more places in Vermont than hubby who is a native Vermonter and has a few years on me. I've gotten him to go a few places he's never been before already :) ~Jen~ | | | Jen Snoots
 | RE: Civil War Virtual Hi! Yep, it's been awhile so it was a nice surprise to see your message :) All is well here. I am also busy still with Vermont in the Civil War submissions and adding here too. In the late spring we got our first car in about 10 years. I don't drive, but hubby likes to take me around to cemeteries and we have also been to a few other places like Calvin Coolidge's house, Hubbardton battlefield and the New England Maple Museum. It is nice being able to go places together rather than using the bus (which doesn't go a lot of places!). Hope everything is good with you! ~Jen~ | | | Kocart
 | George Folsom Thank you so much for this photo! It is good to hear from you again. I hope you are enjoying that New England fall color. Blessings,
