I have been photographing gravestones for a few years. If I see a stone that interests me, I will stop and take a picture, no matter who it is. I like the natural play of light on a stone and try to find the light when it is at its best. I have 100's of photos, but just share the ones online that I find most connected to me or perhaps that I think shows a better picture. I enjoy finding my own relatives and also like to share if I have found someone else's relatives. Please ask if you would like me to transfer a stone. If it isn't my relative, I would be glad to. Names I am interested in for myself include Stearns, Stone, Usher, Towne, Clapp, Clark, Morgan, Denison, Palmer, Hinsdale, Howland, Gorham, Cobleigh, Shaw, Emmons, Beard, Hall, Barton and Founds.|

What a wonderful photo of his headstone, I have added a transcription to the memorial. Thank You!

I really appreciate your message, I have been careful to check the entire town before creating a memorial, not too sure how he slipped by. Over the next few months I am hoping to get a complete inventory of all the cemeteries in Petersham. It's such a beautiful town, I've spent a great deal of time there this past week. Jim
