Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

|Beverly Morgan Wait||Seth Staples Memorial 19490097|
You have posted that Seth Staples was the son of Noah Staples and Abigail French. I was wondering if you could tell me where this information came from. I am trying to prove that he is the same Seth Staples who is credited with serving during the Revolutionary War out of Taunton, MA. I was hoping that if I can find Seth's parents names I might be able to find more to prove he is the same Seth Staples.

Milton Farrar Ricker I have this person in my family tree, he married Annie L Hayford first and then Lucy Maria Phinney I just want to make sure if this info is correct, I not sure if you would know or not
|Nathan Haines||Zebina Briggs|
I found the page you made for Zebina Briggs. I don't know if you are related to her or not?
In case you are, I was looking at old Family Bibles on EBay and right off the bat there was one that is Zebina's old Family Bible with pages of her family names with births and deaths! It looks like a real treasure to be sure.
They want quite a bit for it though, $149.95
The Bible was published in 1824 it says.
There is a lock of hair and some braided doo dads inside the bible also which are fascinating in and of themself.
If you just search on EBay for=
RARE 1824 BRIGGS FAMILY HOLY BIBLE OLD & NEW TESTAMENTS ILLUSTRATED MORNING HAIR
That is how to find it if interested. The person selling it thought her name was Yebina but if you like at the writing in the Bible you will see that it is Zebina.
Maybe you are not related in any way and are not a bit interested?
I am going to look on Ancestry.com to see if I can find any files that were submitted by anyone who might be related to her.
It shows that the person who has and is selling it is in Kansas. I am in Oregon myself. I wish it was a Bible of my family! I would pay for it in a heart beat.
I look for old family pictures sometimes on EBay and will look for someone in Ancestry.com or on Find A Grave to see if they would be interested in something I found. I rarely ever get any response back making me think they probably thought I was a crook or something?! Hah. Sometimes "no good deed goes unpunished" as the saying goes.

The P on her tombstone represent her second husband
last name. His name was Isiah Perkins
|gravely interested||Susanna Chamberlin|
Silas Chamberlin has a pension record. Susanna had to prove her relationship to Silas and it has her maiden name of Jones. Joseph who died in 1865 is their son and he gave record of his parents relationship too. Just thought you would like to know where I got the source for my edit.
