|Since retiring, I find I have time on my hands, so, in 2008 I took photos of all of the headstones in Oak Plain Cemetery in Shaftsburg, where my grandson is buried. In 2009, I finished Bethany Cemetery in Morrice, where my parents are buried. 2010 I finished Rose Lawn Cemetery, in Perry, Glass River Cemetery where my sister is buried, Graham Cemetery, and Oakwood Cemetery, all in Shiawassee Co. Michigan. In 2011 I completed Laingsburg and Mt. Olivet Cemetery, and am working on St. Paul's Cemetery in Owosso. I have over 2/3's of that done.|
You are welcome to copy any photo and I will transfer any memorials.

Thank you very much for the headstone photos.
It adds a connection to our ancestors to have that photo.
It means a lot.

Thank you for the photo of Civil War veteran Henry Sawyer's stone.
I am not sure what information "doesn't match" for this man.
I'm aware of:
-The 1880 census has his age off by a decade ... however his children's ages are correct.
-In 1860 he is indexed as "Abdon Sawyer" [Milwaukee]
-In 1900 he is indexed as Henry Sawyers, married 46 years to Sarah B ... Sarah claims 2 children.
-In 1910 he is a widower ..
-MI documents his marriage to Cordelia E Stone, 31 DEC 1910.
His parents given as Prescott Sawyer and Mary Lamb.
-His death certificate states "widowed"; but the informant was "Mrs H.A. Sawyer"; Length of residence at place of death "3 mos".
Thank you for photographing the site at which my father's ashes are interred. Since there was no room left near his father's grave in Roselawn Cemetery in Muskegon ,his remains were placed in the family plot of his sister-in-law's husband Since my widowed mother moved out of Michigan later and since there is only one member of my immediate family that still lives in Michigan and has good health, and since my father spent most of his life elsewhere than in the Lansing area,we have left commemoration efforts more to extended family than we should have.

Diana I do realize now that you did not add the marriage license to the gravesite. When I saw it I was very shocked and upset and did not look to see who added it. I am very sorry for accusing you and please except my apology. I have contacted the gentlemen who had added it and it has been removed. Again, please forgive me.
