Bio and Links
Bio Photo After reading an article about two ladies in Barry County (MI) who transcribed ALL of the cemeteries in the county, I started looking for some of my relatives there. I found a lot of them as many were pioneers there in the 1840's and 1850's. I decided to pay the favor forward and started doing the local cemetery. To my surprise there were over 3,700 graves in the small cemetery! Then I decided to take photos of all of them. I did it all in about three months. Now I am looking forward to additional cemeteries.
Since then, thanks to "findagrave", I have found many relatives in other parts of Michigan and Canada. Very interesting, rewarding and addicting.

Please add my grandmothers name
Douglas
I tried to edit Augusta (HOPE) Eichenberg's profile however I could not.
Augusta Hope is my great grandmother. She had three children. The missing child is my grandmother, Edith (Eichenberg) (Miller) Ludwick.
Eichenberg being her maiden name, Miller being her second married name and Ludwick being the last name she had when she passed.
Edith was born 2 Aug, 1911 in Newaygo County and died April 1997 and is buried in Chase Township cemetery.
Could you please update the information for Augusta?
Thank you
Debra

I agree with you about the photo. But I did not add it. I looked at my edit possibilities and I am not able to remove the photo. Obviously the photo is of a different John Vickers - this one - Find A Grave Memorial# 19470423.

Tutten
Hello Doug,
I was wondering if you could help me out just a little, please? In 2011 you entered memorials for George and Gertrude Tutten in the White Cloud Cemetery. My question to you is: can you possibly give my an idea as to where in the cemetery, or who to contact, so I can find out where in the cemetery that they are buried? George is my husband's grandfather and he never knew him but would really like to be able to visit his grave.
Thank you,
Alice (Gibson) Cook

RE: George Hicks
I am updating a book on Civil War Veterans started by Sharon Miller. She worked on it for over 10 years before she passed. It covers vets from Muskegon, Oceana, Newaygo, Ottawa and Kent Co's. If I can help, let me know.

RE: Gustaf or August Donaldson - 91729577
Thanks. Makes sense. I sent you an edit to change Floyd Donaldson's mother from Angeline Merrit Carr Donaldson to Lucy Merrit Donaldson Walter. From the notes on Angeline's memorial, Angeline married August after Floyd was born so she couldn't be his mother. It looks like both sisters married Gustaf August Donaldson! Successively. LOL
