"EVERYONE WAS LOVED BY SOMEONE, |
NO ONE SHOULD BE FORGOTTEN"
I have been interested in Geneaology for over 30 years and was very excited to find someone I was looking for on this site, which led me to add entries of my own. I hope that I have also helped someone in their quest.
I've tried to be accurate on all of my entries, but if you find an error, please use the edit tab on that memorial, and I will be happy to make corrections or additions to the information.
Please do not ask for transfers unless they are within the guidelines. I would be more than happy to add information and you are more than welcome to add pictures. If you are outside the guidelines & create a duplicate, you will be reported.
From the Find A Grave Guidelines:
The goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away,regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it.

Thank you so much for transferring the Emery memorials over to us. It really means a lot to us to have them all together under the care of a family member. Again, THANKS!

Before creating a memorial and going through all the work I see you have done on your duplicate memorial, you should have emailed the Find A Grave admins and told them about the unresponsive(inactive) member and asked for them to make the transfer to you, or asked them to make the edits. At this point I think you should tell them about all you have done and ask them to ether transfer the original to you, or if they can't or won't do it, ask for a merger of the two memorials and ask them if they will give you permission to edit the memorial. hope this helps, Don
|JPC||RE: phebe Dunton|
Although I have not yet been able to locate an exact place or exact date of death for Phebe, some information / clues were provided on her daughter's, (Sarah Jane (Dunton) Bowman's) Michigan Death Record as well as another daughter's Death record (Emily / Emma Dunton - Justin. Phebe (Weeks) Dunton is also found, along with her husband, Ruel, in the Revolutionary War Soldiers Records. In one of those records, Phebe and Ruel gave court testimony when her grandparents Thomas Weeks and Phebe (Lake) Weeks tried to apply for a soldier's pension. There are approximately 45 pages of letters and depositions in the Weeks records which can be found on Ancestry.com. Phebe Weeks Dunton's father's name (William) also appears as do his siblings and other associated families. I found these documents to be extremely interesting and informative. It has been several years since I accessed those documents on-line, so there may be more information that has been added since that time. I would be very interested in corresponding with you regarding 'our' family as I have found quite a bit of information regarding Phebe's genealogy as well. Perhaps you can advise me regarding how to 'private' email. Hope some of this information has helped. JPC
