RE: Runnion Family
Hi there,
I was able to find a couple of SS Death Indexes along with a couple of Michigan Death Indexes, but they were very scant on information. I know the DOD for two that passed in Farmington Hills and another in Kent Community Hospital, but public members trees, Family Search and funeral homes were of no help. The years that are included are: 1975, 1977 and 1984.
I called the Twelve Mile branch of Farmington Public Library, but their preliminary search did not reveal any obits. The clerk at the reference desk stated that she would pass on my request to the Heritage Room volunteers, but it could be a couple of weeks if, and when I heard back. Hit me up on one of my edit tabs, and I will send you my e-mail if you have time to help me.
Thank you very much.

Runnion Family
Hi HK,
Is there any chance of gaining your assistance with a grave search for a couple of Runnion's? They passed away in the Farmington Hills area of Oakland, but so far, Ancestry and Family Search have not revealed any grave sites to me. I noted the East, West and North Farmington Cemeteries and checked them all, but no such Surname turned up. I can usually find the person that I am looking for by making contact with local funeral homes, but that too failed this time.
If my request comes at an inconvenient time, could you refer me to another active contributor in the Farmington Hills area? Any assistance you could provide would be most appreciated.

RE: Ostrem family in Crystal Lake
Reusing a name is not at all uncommon. You will find it time & time again. Children & mothers didn't always live very long in the 19th century. Men would marry one sister and when she died he'd marry another one. Of course, you also had the children at home with the help of a relative or midwife. My mother was born within the city of Minneapolis in 1907...with a midwife. Uffda!

Morn! Apparently Even & Carrie Ostrem had Cora Hazel Ostrem in 1892 (died in 1893) and then reused her first name. Uffda! I am also Norwegian. Snakker du norsk?

Thanks for the additional information!

The California Death index shows a date of death for Marie of 10/5/1943 rather than 10/4, otherwise we updated everything else.

Would you like the pages transferred?

Wolf, (that's kinda cool!) Thanks for the note you left on Shawn's grave. Your poor Uncle must have felt so helpless that day. Shawn's touched so many in the community and none of us will ever forget. Thanks again.

Gertrude Blodgett memorial
I see that you left a note last year on the entry for Gertrude Blodgett. Gertrude would be related to me as a first cousin, second removed. Father John Hollond Blodgett and Katherine Katz. I have an old picture if desired, but it was when Gertrude was just born.

RE: Wolf grave pics
Hi Holly, I'll see if I can find their obits. That might iron out a few wrinkles. Also, in the lower right corner of the photo of Marie's stone, you can see the corner of Nicholas' IM (or speed bump as I lovingly refer to them). Tyler
