Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a native of Northern Virginia, having lived in Fairfax County and Loudoun County my whole life. I became interested in researching my family history after my mom passed in 1995 and my dad in 2004, both from cancer.

If I have created a memorial for someone close to you, please let me know and I'd be happy to transfer them to you.

If I have added a photo to a memorial and you would like additional photos, better quality or close up, just let me know and I will try to help.

Surnames I'm researching on my dad's side: CLOBUS and NOLL from Germany and Pennsylvania, CROUP/CROOP of Allegheny Co. and Butler Co., PA and in FL and on my mom's side: ENTZIAN and MAIER/MAYR of MD and WI and MAYERLEN/MAIERLEN. Other surnames I'm researching: MARBURGER, GLOCK, SISTEK, GRUNTZ....all of Allegheny Co. or Butler Co., PA. Also interested in KLOBUS.

RE: Mary Pearl Keefer Croup
Diane: I think Isaac L's grandfather was Rev. John Boyer, a 'bishop' in the Mennonite Church, who died in 1828. Have you seen a small book titled "Historic Harmony"? I think I have all the direct line back to Johan (John) Heinrich (Henry) BEIEIR/BEYER who emigrated to America in the early 1700s from Eppstein, Palatinate, Germany. I have 2 generations there, Samuel and Adam. The earliest born about 1838.

I also wish I lived closer to PA. I'll be going back to OH in 2016 for a HS reunion (60 years).

Thank you for offering to transfer Jesse to me; however, he is too distant of a relative for that. One day hopefully someone from his direct line will ask you for that consideration. ty again...

Diane: I am related thru Mary's mother, Susannah Boyer. Susannah's father, Isaac L Boyer is my great-great-grandfather. I am always looking for new info or documents relating to anyone in the family.
I grew up in OH and now live in Sacramento CA.

RE: Hugh & Ethel Cumberland
No need to transfer. I strongly believe Hugh Cumberland is a son of Thomas and Martha Cumberland that are buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Washington, DC. I came across the connection when researching Ida Cumberland who married John W Young. Per DC records, John W and Ida Young had a 3 day old 1894 baby named Goldie V Young that was buried in Andrew Chapel ( a tie to the Cumberland's in that area) I believe Hugh C to be "Charlie" Cumberland on 1880 census in same household with Martha Cumberland and Ida Cumberland, Fairfax County, Va. DC records show Hugh C Cumberland married Ethel Talley in Washington, DC on Apr 27, 1897. However, the tie to Hugh C, Ida and the Martha Cumberland in Oak Hill is just a very good guess. John

Mary Sistek
If you will look closely at the photo I've posted, the birth date is 192_ (I neglected to get it into the shot because of the posie) but the death date is 2002 (1995 was the date for the other Mary Sistek I told you about.)

The Sisteks
I've added pics for Donald, Frank and Frank Sistek and their spouses but there's a marker for a Mary A Sistek who passed away in 2002 (shown in the group photos) FIG only has a Mary A. Sistek listed who died in 1995 and is buried in another cemetery. Do you wish to create a memorial for the Oakmont Verona Mary Sistek? If so, let me know when you've done it and I'll add the grave pic OR Here's my e-mail address: I can send you the pic and you can post it when you're ready.
