Bio and Links
Bio Photo My husband and I enjoy being photo volunteers. I use Find-A-Grave to research my family's genealogy and maintain and/or create their sites when possible. I like to include biographical sketches, family links and photos in hopes that will help others who are researching the same lines. I am researching Porter, VanPatten, Starns, Lewis, Hogg, Lawson, Kolp, Proctor, Childs, McCoy, Aplington, Bruner and more. If you see errors please let me know.

Since 2014 I have been researching people whose unclaimed cremains are being stored at the Oregon State Hospital. After researching their lives I try to find living relatives to let them know where their family member's ashes are. I have been lucky to make many connections.

Pvt Williams
Hi Phyllis,
A cousin sent me the article about Pvt Williams, which I read with great interest. Since we have Williams relatives in Hodgdon, Maine, she wondered if we could be related to him. She turned to me, because I am the family genealogist. It took me less than 15 minutes to find out that he was our 1st cousin, 4 x removed! Our 3rd great grandmother, Frances Abigail Williams of Hodgdon Maine, and his father were brother and sister. Frances married Daniel Williams (not related), which is why the Williams name continued through my lineage. Thank you so much for your great work! I can't wait to share this story with the rest of my family.

Ed Condon (1867-1936) memorial 67892540
Hi Phyllis - There wasn't a merge of the two memorials. The problem is it's not listed under Oregon State Hospital. Do a search using either under Ed Condon and death year OR use the memorial number and you'll find it. You might want to have Kyle change burial location. I was going to make a memorial for Canada Ed too, but I did a search first and that's when I found it. Thanks for moving the death c.. I've already left a message for Kim.

Condon, 68406247
Hi - There are two death certificates for two different Condons on memorial 68406247 of Edward Condon, (1883-1939). He was born in Washington. The correct death c. for him is at the top of his memorial. The other death c., on the 2nd page of photos, is for a different Ed Condon (1867-1936) memorial 67892540. He was born in Canada. Please move the 2nd death certificate over to his memorial. I've also asked Kim to move her photo of his container. Thanks Phyllis.

Pvt. Williams
Rather, thank *you* for discovering Pvt. Williams' story. It is my understanding Pvt. Williams' cremations will pass through Gettysburg on his way to Maine. I have every reasonable hope and intention of being there to honor the noble foe. My family s from Virginia, you understand! We are Amerucans all... 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Thank you for linking his parents. If you are related, I would gladly transfer him to you. I see you list Porter as a family name, would you possibly be related to John Ramsey Porter (1827-1884) that married my gg-aunt Parmelia Leverich? John R Porter brought the Redwood trees from California to Washington County Oregon. Millie

Joseph Jacob Holt # 86772340
My research has lead me to this memorial on findagrave.com and I am stunned by the amount of information on Joseph Holt's memorial page. I am looking for confirmation as to whether he is a relative. The Joseph J Holt, I am looking for was born in Missouri in 1890, lived in Los Angeles and San Diego, California between 1920-1945, was married and had 3 children. In the information on his page there is no mention of those years which leads me to think this Joseph J Holt may be the one I am looking for but I need more assurance.
I look forward to your response.
Colleen

Allan Lee Roberts FAG # 87453043
Thank you so very much for making this memorial. His Paternal Grandmother and my Maternal Grandfather were siblings. I did not know about this child. When I found his father's sister, she told me Jack had been married several times But, she didn't think Jack had any children. I was never able to make contact with Jack. Your research was correct concerning Jacks family. I don't feel like I can claim Allan's remains. But, I do appreciate your work. May God Bless you so much for your caring heart.

Jack Johnson
Hey Phyllis could you look at Jack Johnson for me at the Salem Hospital memorial. Someone is saying its a duplicate but they were born like 20 years apart. People do share names. I think I will leave it till I am done taking pictures but I would like your opinion since you have done a lot of the research. If it is please let me know and I will fix my mistake. Have a fantastic day

Richard D. Brown #67257559
Looks like one of my guesses was wrong. As far as I can tell the last
living descendant of his mother, or her sister, died in Palo Alto, CA
in 1991. So if someone on his mother's side claimed the ashes they
would probably have to be from his second cousins in Missouri. But
I'll keep searching to be sure.

Since his grandfather Richard Dudley Baskett didn't die until 1901 it
would be interesting to know if his will or obit provided any clues to
what became of Richard D. Brown's mother.
