My name is Diana (Sturgis) Greb. My husband, Richard, and I celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary April 4, 2014. We have 2 daughters and three grandsons. |
I have a copy of The Jefferson Cemetery (1861-1990) published by the Willamette Valley Genealogical Society--I am taking the bio information from that book. If anyone wants a complete copy of the infomation, I will be happy to send it to you.
The family names I research are Sturgis, Sturges, Ritter, Spencer, Carnaby, Greb and Schwindt.
I had to add this sunset picture that I took at Maui on August 29, 2009--I love to take sunset pictures--I did NOT do anything to the picture!
You can see copies of the Linn County DCs on the Linn Genealogical Society web site--www.lgsoregon.org
NOTE--I have taken digital pictures of all the DCs that I have added to findagrave. I have taken the DCs (1903-1963) for the following counties--Benton, Crook, Curry, Gilliam, Grant, Harney, Jefferson, Lake, Linn, Morrow, Sherman, Wallowa and Wheeler. If you want a DC for someone in those counties, let me know and I will look and see if I can find them for you.
I also give Find a Grave Staff full permission to transfer any of my Memorials to who ever wants them upon my death. Hopefully this will help eliminate What I call Dead Memorials.
Want me to transfer a memorial to you?
I would like to give away every non-related memorial to people who have more information to add, so if you would like me to transfer a memorial to you, don't hesitate to ask; in your request, please include the memorial number (or a link to it) and your own Find-a-Grave member number.

Oh no, no need to remove the death certificate.
Thank you so very much for adding the copy of the death certificate to the memorial of Milton D. Faircloth. It will give me other data which will help me to further research.
Have a great week and coming weekend.

Thank you very much.

You posted a DC for Marvin on the memorial for Henryett Nye in Gilliland Cemetery. I found his headstone and made a memorial for him.
Please move the DC off of Henryett and put it on Marvin Nye.

Diana, thank you for contacting me! I am not one of those people who has a problem with DCs on memorials. The FAQs of this site also mention that it is okay to add them, and I do not understand why some members ask that they be removed (unless it is a close relative who strongly objects).
Your contact also draws my attention to the fact that I never added a close-up photo of Rudy's marker. Unfortunately, my old PC died and I was unable to save any photos that I had not backed up.
I learned to become a dedicated Mac user! And to back up my data!
I will put Rudy on my list of photos to get the next time I'm at Roosevelt.

As a direct descendant, I request that you please remove the death certificate "picture" from her memorial page. Thank you.

Thank you for the death certificate.
|Eric Anderson||Re: Carl August Anderson|
Oh and when my Dad says "this house" he's referring to a house in Brattleboro, VT (which we both grew up in and he still lives in) that's been in the family forever.
|Eric Anderson||Re: Carl August Anderson|
The Andersons & related that I've heard of all lived in Windham County VT. I passed along your question to my Dad back in Vermont. I don't think his comments will be much help but here they are verbatim. Good luck with the research.
"He may have been my grandfather on my Dad's side. Very little info but he owned this house around 1893 and had sons Emil, Oscar,Carl, Thor, Arthur and one called Frenchie plus a daughter Anna. Wife was Amalia who died and is buried in Sweden in Larksaby I think. Not sure if that name is correct. Have little info to remember him by but I do have cousins in Sweden, One of whom I met years ago
while she was on a visit to the states. Carl August had a brother Otto who died in 1921 I think."
