Bio and Links
Bio Photo My McEwan grandparents divorced when my Mother was 2 in the 1920s. She never knew her father, even though there were only two McEwans in the telephone book. My own father made connections with him and we met. He died shortly after that. I was so curious about him, as he was an unknown and I started rooting around the library in college. Never did find any particular reason for the divorce, but it certainly gave me the "itch" to learn more and do research.

I am glad to make changes, corrections and transfers. Please follow the guidelines of Findagrave and use the edit tab at the memorial.

Happy Hunting!

I think you did fine. There are some great youtube tutorials on gravestone photography. I have found that standing at an angle to the stone makes the letters appear more legible rather than dead on (pardon the pun). Also, for really old stones, for some reason using a mirror really helps illuminate the letters. You'll have to watch the you tube thing to learn how. It is a magic act of balancing yourself, the camera and the mirror. Helps to have a buddy along.

Just want to say thanks for all the photo additions and information at New Tacoma. Greatly appreciated. Always nice to see headstones that belong to family and many, many friends who are buried there.

RE: Alta Smith/Starks
It looks like you choose to delete the one of Alta Starks. I'm glad you moved the obit to the Alta Smith page. I think that was the best choice.
