In the 1980's I started researching my Linn ancestors (without benefit of computer) but got busy with my sons' activities and put it on hold. In 1999 a cousin got me involved with my Steinberg ancestors and I have been going full speed ahead ever since. |
Upon graduating from the University of Illinois my father obtained employment in the State of Washington, far from any relatives. My ancestors (after entering the USA)settled in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Montana, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio and New Jersey - I want to experience first hand where and how they lived so I travel the country obtaining data, meeting people, seeing the sights and tramping cemeteries. I missed the "cousin experience" growing up and think that is why I enjoy genealogy so much -- meeting new cousins (who cares if they are 1st or 10th cousins)and sharing our family histories.
I am researching Linn, Gibson, Weir, Scott, Polk, Steinberg, Koerner, Mitten, Bennett, Switzer (Swisher), Slonaker, Shaw, Goff, Townsend, McCarty and Whitehead, Miller, Schroen, Glabe, Schafer/Schaefer/Shafer. I am also reseaching Dishon, Deshon, DeShon, Deschamps and Herrold for my two sons.

I found baptismal records for Henry Kuntz and his twin brother, Conrad, both born to Joseph Kuntz and Barbara Meister on 18 May 1861. Baptized 14 Jul 1861. Sponsors Henry Waldschmidt & Conrad Meister. I didn't find a death record for Conrad.

Thanks so much for sending the great information that I added to his memorial. I've also linked Nellie and Lettie to their mother as well. Thanks for all of your work!

Ok....his children not linked are
John Roderick born 28 Aug 1795 Frederick, MD and died 7 Mar 1875 in Fayette, PA
Daniel Roderick born 30 Apr 1797 Hardy Co, VA and died 30 Aug 1868 in Mongongalia Co, WV
Samuel Roderick born 13 Apr 1809 VA and

And other family trees on Ancestry.com say there was another son, David, but I was unable to find any information on him.

|bhd||Photos requests for Maybelle & James Eastman|
HI, I tried to fulfill your photo requests for them in Clarendon Hills Cemetery. There is not a marker(s) on their plot. Some folks like to get a photo of the "grass area." If you would like me to get that type of photo, please let me know.
