Bio and Links
Bio Photo My main purpose on find a grave was to make a lasting memorial of my loved ones for future generations to have and treasure. So many times important dates and information about life events and achievements get lost. We think after someone is gone...I wish I asked mom about her family. We all want to know where we came from and knowing our ancestry helps me feel complete.

I have now challenged myself to get as much of St. Mary's Cemetery in West Peoria,IL photographed. In doing so I'll need all the help I can get to make sure I'm getting it right. So if you notice any errors please let me know. I will be glad to make any change. I will transfer any memorial I have created of your family. I've just learned that any pictures a person takes and post, they have automatic copyright to them. I give permission to anyone that wants to use any of my headstone photos.
When I'm walking about the cemetery please know I do it with the most respectful intentions. I hope my efforts connect so many families to loved ones, be it near or far. If anyone wants to join me in getting photographs, contact me so we are not taking the same pictures.
It's nice to know what we do on find a grave will endure long after we are long gone.

St. Mary's that is finished being photographed and uploaded to memorials:

Taking time off for now start back when weather is agreeable.

by J Schneider

Death, why do you come to my thoughts
after so many a year? I never had time
for you or even gave you a care.

Now with trembling limbs I nudge close to
those slumber doors. Can I take a peek, NO!
Is that death making its self-known?

All my life I have not known you.
Now I can feel you lurking aboutÖwhatís
this ache? Whatís this new pain?

I take a walk through fallen leaves and I
look about the sky and delight in the day.
Are there many more for me?

Why do I feel this way? Oh, I see
itís the quiet one drawing me in.
Do I make friends with you? Will you be
kind in the end?

Do you have some hideous disease for me,
Or will you let me slip into slumber with
such ease? Oh, Iíve seen the pain others have had. Please tell me, what death will be mine?

Over time you have become a constant and
familiar companion. I donít fear you as much
and know when you are near. When the end
is upon me and I know it will come, I
will welcome your presence like a long
awaited friend.

Guide me to my loved ones that are waiting for me. I have my place at the wedding supper you see. So when you come, come quickly for me, my dear friend.

RE: Nellie G. Brown
I went ahead and linked Charles N. Brown in Kane Cemetery to his parents as John Walter Brown and Laura Luckey Brown.
The census's seem to agree with them as being his parents.
Let me know if you find this is wrong.

Couldn't find Charles Brown's obit, but I found hers. The person who sent me where she died had it wrong also. Her obit said she died in St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
Added her maiden name and parents.

Thank you for the comment. I have deleted the parent links.
I imagine the links were suggested by a Find A Grave contributor....I should have checked them out before linking them.

Thanks again.

RE: Two memorials for H Bruner
I went ahead and deleted the one for your aunt. I grew up just one mile west of Lambert on my grandparents farm. I knew your family quite well and were very kind and hard working people. My mother in fact went to Lambert High School. Not many people know where that little community is. I think there are only six people left there. Thanks for sending the message. We are trying to also get as many obits attached to the memorials.

RE: Duplication
I notice you don't have william tied into Christian and Susannah. I am a direct descendant of William--great grandfather. Susannah lived with him in the closing years of her life. Leroy is a brother to my grandmother. I notice you don't have his full date. Personally I like duplications because they often have additional info about the family that the posters might not have. Also I notice you don't have my namesake--Katharine Susan Mosshart--marriage. She married George Rippel and is buried in Dover Burial Park. She has a memorial and the newspaper article about the traffic accident in FindAGrave under Rippel.
