I've been researching my family genealogy for a quite a few years now and it's become one of my passions.
I've found cemeteries to be such a valuable resource for genealogical information and have lengthened the branches of my family tree - thanks to physically visiting cemeteries and by 'virtually' visiting cemeteries on this site.
I hope that by recording graves in the cemeteries that I visit will help others. Feel free to use my headstone photos for your research and give credit (my name or a link to the memorial page).
I worked very hard to add these graves and photos to this site. I am more than happy to add any additional information to any memorial. If you are requesting a transfer, please make sure that it is within guidelines (they are a direct relative within four generations). Also, please make the transfer request through the "edit" tab on the memorial page.
Obituaries: Please note that according to the Guidelines, it is against policy to copy and paste obituaries word for word onto memorial pages. Any works published since 1923 are under copyright. I will not make these edits.
Quote from Help with FindAGrave: "Can I add an obituary to my interment listing? Do not copy obituary notices from newspapers (or from funeral home notices or web sites) to an individual's memorial record unless you have permission from the newspaper to do so or you are the author of the obituary."
Elizabeth Timmerman McManus Hi Valerie, I had seen your memorials for this family (nicely complete!) but have a question about the given father of John Amos as John LeHugh McManus. Other records indicate Mary B. Holley's husband (and James Amos' father) was John T. McManus, Jr. It could be a simply misreading but I would like to collaborate more with you to see if we can clear it up. Would you mind contacting me at my email address on my home page? Thank you kindly, Barb
Wiley Powell and Maria Adkins Powell Valerie, Thank you so much for the photos and information on Wiley Powell and Maria Adkins Powell, my third great grandparents. I would love to get more information about their 10 children, as there appears to be some online confusion regarding the number of children and their names? (I got the number of children from the obituary and your info for Maria Adkins Powell.) Could you please contact me via my findagrave profile? Thanks again for all your wonderful and helpful work. --Genealogy Buff

RE: Obituaries I did not "Paste" any obituary, all are typed by hand from the obits published many years ago which are now long past any copyright protection. However it is not against any copyright to use them for personal use, not commercial use.
Many of my obits have been posted by Find A Grave staff members as "Buddy" has died. If it were angst any rule or law, they would not have done so.
Logan Carl Nichols Jr. and Stanley Jackson Nichols Would it be possible to transfer the graves of Logan Carl Nichols Jr. and Stanley Jackson Nichols to our care? They are my husbands cousins. They are buried in Bethel Cemetery, Smyrna, Ga. Thank you for your consideration. Judy Fuss
