Bio and Links
Bio Photo In the spring of 2010, I became interested in finding out more about my father's family. My g-g-g-g grandfather, John P Lyle, settled in Paulding Co, Georgia, sometime before 1840. It is thought that he received land in the 1832 land lottery of the Cherokee lands. I worked on the LYLE family tree and then started looking for the graves of my extended family. I spend the majority of my time looking for graves in Paulding County and the counties that surround Paulding, such as Haralson, Polk, Bartow, Carroll, Douglas, Cobb and Cherokee. I have found this to be a great way to fill in those extra hours I now have in my life as a retired person.
I have to give credit to my brother, Tom 'CC' Lyle, and to my 1st cousin once removed, Dianne Eberhardt, for allowing me to use their genealogy research information in several of my FAG memorials.

Thank you Sandy...I have been carrying Barbara's Obituary around with me for years and now I am finally able to connect it to her Memorial for all of our classmates to see and appreciate.

Blessings, Stephen

Dear Sandy, I want to sincerely thank you for the transfer of Barbara Johansen Piper's Memorial. Her Memorial will be a tremendous addition to our list of Evans High School Fallen Knights.

Blessings and Peace!

Oh, my goodness - I didn't realize that there were two different ladies named Sandy connected with that memorial. Hope you can contact the other one & that she has the correct photo.

I'm trying to work on this lady. Her name looks like Durmeta on the marriage record. I've found very little so far.

RE: Mary Ann
Hi there,
I just got back from the cemetery. The birth year 1848 must be wrong on the marker and it should be 1840. Would it be possible to merge with the memorial created by Ed Elstan # 64665984.
Hope you have a great weekend.

Mary Ann "Polly' Blackmon # 118293393
Hi Sandy,
I am doing some family research on my Adams' ancestry. I noticed that you have a memorial for Mary Ann created in Smyrna UMC. But I show no listing for her at Smyrna UMC in the Carroll County Cemetery survey book. Is it possible that your Mary Ann and Mrs. P.A. Adams # 64665984 are one in the same. William Adams married Polly Ann Folds 7-16-1868 in Carroll County, GA. I believe the birth year for Mrs. P.A. Adams is actually 1840, not 1848. She is buried next to William and his first wife, Millie Hooper Adams. I believe P.A. is for Polly Ann. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. I'll try to visit the cemetery shortly.

Photo Request
Hello, I'm I Find a Grave volunteer who lives near Memorial Cemetery in Skokie. There is some confusion about taking photos at this cemetery, but I have taken a number in the last few years. What I can't do is look up the location for you. If you call the cemetery 847-864-5061 and then post the location in your request, I will attempt to fulfill it. Some folks have reported to me that the cemetery will not give out the location via phone. This is hard to understand if you are a family member. I would prefer to have the location posted rather than sent to me via email. Susanne D
