I have just within the last year or so become interested in genealogy and tracing my family tree.

My immediate family includes: Singletarys, Braswell's, Bateman's and Hill's on my mothers side.

Please note that I am adopted on my father side (however I consider this to be my family) and have done extensive research on this line to include: Mobley's, Cone's, Hancock's and Bynum's.

Saw your posting on Mr. G. W. Bateman. The Worth county history book says Mr. Green Wood Bateman fought in the civil war. As a relative you could order his war records, whereas I could not...I wish you would do that since April of 2015 is the 150 year of the surrender in the war.
Also if you have info on his first wife and the child Mollie Jane that would be great to see that posted as well.

I don't have a clue. I did, however, upload a picture of his grave marker to the memorial.
