In the spring of 2010, I became interested in finding out more about my father's family. My g-g-g-g grandfather, John P Lyle, settled in Paulding Co, Georgia, sometime before 1840. It is thought that he received land in the 1832 land lottery of the Cherokee lands. I worked on the LYLE family tree and then started looking for the graves of my extended family. I spend the majority of my time looking for graves in Paulding County and the counties that surround Paulding, such as Haralson, Polk, Bartow, Carroll, Douglas, Cobb and Cherokee. I have found this to be a great way to fill in those extra hours I now have in my life as a retired person. |
I have to give credit to my brother, Tom 'CC' Lyle, and to my 1st cousin once removed, Dianne Eberhardt, for allowing me to use their genealogy research information in several of my FAG memorials.

I looked in ancestry.com to see if they had any info on his burial, but they did not. My guess is that he is buried at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Dallas, Paulding County. That is my best guess.

You posted the grave of John Pinckney Denton in the New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery, and I am hoping you have some knowledge of his father, Samuel Denton, born ca 1809 and died 1889 in Paulding County, Georgia. Can you help me with any information on John P. Denton's father?
We have been to Dallas, Georgia and to several cemeteries there, but have not found Samuel Denton. If you have any information or none, please advise me at firstname.lastname@example.org and help if you can. Thanks,

I'm Gwen Bell Darby and grand-daughter of Frank Marion Bell from Paulding, GA. I noticed you had put up a war registration for Frank bell on the Find A Grave site. Do you have any other information on Frank Bell? I would love to share anything I have as well, if we have common relatives.
Great to meet you!

Thank so much for finding the name of my Grandmother's 1st husband who died shortly after marriage. I really appreciate the records, but I do not want them on her Find A Grave page. I will place them on on her page on my Ancestry. So, kindly remove the death records as I think that is very private and she would not have wanted this on public display.
Again thank you,
her Great Grandaughter

Thank you for the obit for Mr. Holladay, It has been posted to his memorial.
Thank you for adding the photo to Find A Grave Memorial# 41423203. Did you by chance take a close up of just his memorial? Would love that if you did. Thanks
I see that you are the holder of this memorial for my grandmother, Annie Pounds. I was wondering if you are related in any way?
