|My husband and I have just finished adding information and pictures to Campton Cemtery at Lamont, Iowa. We have made every effort to include everyone and do it correctly. Unfortunately I do make errors so if you find any please let me know and I will try and correct it.|
I was raised on the farm next to the cemetery and my family has donated some of the cemetery land. I have parents, sister, grandparents, great grandparents, great great grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, family, friends and neighbors buried there.
I will be more than happy to transfer anyone(but family) over to you to manage, just let me know. Click on "Edit" and select "Suggest a correction or provide additional information" to suggest changes or request transfer. It is easy to become a contributor.
I hope you will find information you have been looking for.
11-14-2012 I am now in the process of adding Wadena, Iowa cemetery. 12-1-2012 Wadena/Saint Josephs cemetery has now been entered.
10-29-2013 I am now in the process of adding Oakland cemetery in Manchester, Iowa. With winter arriving don't think I will get it all done until spring.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for transferring the four Hickox memorials: Jennett & husband George, the son Ryal, and their grandson George Harold. It's not everyday I get to link up three generations of family and then link them to earlier generations.
I've developed them as per my message about edits and rest assure they will be in good hands.
And a big special thank you for doing the slogging through cemeteries, taking photos and getting the memorials established. PLUS being a nice person to work with.
|onwiththeshow||Thank You Barb,|
Living in Canada makes it difficult to visit all the cemeteries where I have family buried.
The Comptpn Cemetery is on I am sorry to have missed on my 2012 visit. There in lies my x3 Great Grandmother Sarah Cowles Bond & here parents.
I possess photographs of Sarah Cowles Bond & of all the Bond families. I will share the photo's once my project is complete, they are the old tin type photo's.
I will admire the hours of labour you and others on Find A Grave have put in on my behalf in memory of our loved ones. Thank you and thanks to your family for the work & dedication you have done a terrific work.

Barb Ive deleted several memorials because they were doubles, in regards to memorials # 72123880 & 35818423l you will notice different people who did the original posts..I obtained ownership of 35818423 from #1 OLSEN several yrs ago 72123886 was from a Ken Oliver,,whom I tink may be dead..theres several memorials for my GG grandmother Martha Ann Satterlee...few people knew her married name was Terry..she passed in Alma Neb in 1873,& for some reason the family buried her in her maiden name,,You would have to be a descendent of hers to know this So Ive cleaned up what I could but theres still several additional memorials that I can not do anything about,,That in cludes your memorial to Martha Ann Satterlee..or as I know her Martha Ann Mattie Saterlee Terry,,,,

Our memorials were the first to be posted in 2008. The latest was posted this year. The person posting the second memorial should have checked to see if there was another memorial before creating a new one. Flowers have been posted to our memorials in 2011. To delete our memorial would not be fair to the persons posting flowers on them. I have cross referenced our memorials to the new ones. I will contact Find A Grave and see if the memorials can be combined through them.

This is a strange one because the large surname is spelled ACERS, yet the headstone shows ACRES. I'm not sure which is correct. I see that you are doing the cemetery in Manchester, are you getting your information from the actual cemetery records? If so, I will change the name on the memorials. And maybe it would be important to add a caveat to the memorial explaining the spelling/misspelling of the name. Thank you for pointing this out and hopefully you can help solve the mystery.
|Janet Swaim||Frank Larrabee|
I have removed one memorial. They were created by two different people and transferred to me. I have also updated the correct spelling to be Larrabee, not Larabee.
Thank you very much for the marker photo and the name correction.
