I have been doing genealogy research on my family for the past 10+ yrs. I have physically searched halfway across the US for some elusive relatives and endless hours on the internet.|
I find it very interesting as to what our ancestors did for a living and how they lived and migrated across continents.
I was born in Upper MI and now live in MA
Joining Find A Grave has helped me in my own genealogy research. After another find a grave volunteered to find a grave for me I then thought it a good way to pay it forward by doing searches for others. I have found links to other sites and info on how to read old stones. Here is a link that may help others decipher some of the writings carved on them.... (copy and paste to browser)

Jim, Thank you for your extra efforts. I can't tell what area he is in from your photo. If you know, see if you can guess the lat/long using the online map program google maps.

Dear Mr. Anderson,
I have already checked with the funeral home that was in charge of her arrangements at the time of her death and they gave me this name of this cemetery as the place of her burial. I then called Mayflower Hill Cemetery in Taunton, MA to confirm this information, and they told me of her plot and burial number. If you check with both of these places you will find this information that I have listed to be correct.
P.S. The funeral home name was in her obituary and after I called them this is how I got the cemetery name.

I agree. I think Find A Grave administrators are the ones to get this right.
Thanks for you patience on my photo requests for Jennifer.

Okay, Jim, thanks for the information on Calgary Cemetery in Waltham. One of the memorials did list that cemetery, but changed it to Mayflower Hill. Both memorials list Mayflower Hill now.
Can't help wondering as to why the creators of these two memorials are playing musical cemeteries with Jennifer's memorial.

Received your photo problem email from Find A Grave, generated by you.
I see both memorials to Jennifer have her in Mayflower Hill Cemetery in Taunton, Plot: Section: 35-Grave#: 23, a change for both.
Apparently, there has been some contention between the creators of these memorials (created a day apart). As for me, I'm not taking sides; I'm only trying to ascertain where this poor murdered girl's final resting place is.
I'm gonna initiate a photo request on both memorials for a photo from Mayflower Hill, and see what turns up.

Thanks, Jim, for the information on Jennifer's marker. There is a duplicate memorial for Jennifer that has her buried at Calvary Cemetery in Waltham. Is there a possibility you could check on that? (I also have a photo request for that memorial.)

Thanks for the photos.
