Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been doing genealogy for 30-some years. I enjoy collecting the stories about family, in order to discover more about who I am and where I came from. I research my husband's and my ancestors in Ohio, Virginia, and New York, primarily.

Even though my profile says I joined in July 2010, I actually originally joined Find A Grave on 7 April 2003. But I lost track of my account info years ago when I changed email addresses. I have since found the account info (Contributor #46573281) and transferred all my old memorials to myself! If you need to contact me, just send a "correction/update" from any of my memorials.

(Wow! Many thanks to the moderator who found this note and updated my info to show my original date! I appreciate it!)

Margaret Byrd (Force) Williams
I just noticed on Margaret's memorial #5848514
that Bird is spelled "BYRD" which is correct?

RE: Ida (Frost) Williams
Thank you
Just to let you know I setup a memorial #137793672
for Doyle "Dair" Williams in Pratts Fork Cemetery.
I agree with you that Sarinda would have buried him near his father & brother.

Working on census records on Abraham's children today. Good thing for a cooler day.

Ida (Frost) Williams
I noticed on the photo #55406356, the flowers with MOM. Was she your mother and was she 100?

Still working on the Williams / Bird information you sent. Was going back to make sure I have the right memorials with everyone and came across Ida's memorial.

Thank you again for ALL your work.

RE: Williams Family
I put an edit request for the infant to be connected to Jeremiah & Sarinda.
I am surprised that some of Sarinda (Hayward)relatives are not buried in Pratts Fork but none are listed. I have both her father & mother dying
in Meigs County, have not found them listed as yet.
Your idea about Dair's name sounds possible, the 1896 Hayward history just shows him as Doyle. Sarinda was remarried & living in Kansas when it was written and the Infant was not mentioned.
Thanks for the help.

RE: Williams Family
Thanks for getting back with me.
I did not have the Infant in my records.

Doyle "Dair" Williams born: 1/25/1859 died: 12/16/1862

I agree that he is probably buried in Pratts Fork but there is a good chance there is no headstone.

Anything you can do is appreciated.

Do you happen to have anything on Abraham's or
Margaret's parents?

Thank again

Williams Family
Thank you for all your work on the Williams family.
You had sent me information back in 2009 and thank you.
It has taken me until now to get back to the Williams side of my family.
Jeremiah M. Williams (1826-1862) was my GG Grandfather. He had 3 sons, the youngest Doyle "Dair" died in Dec 1862 after him, would you know where he was buried.

Thank you again for everything you have done.

Anthony was the key. I found him on Family search and then Sarah, but Francis and William just wouldn't be found. I did some finagling and finally found them, but I'm not sure how. They are there. Send me your email and tomorrow I'll try to figure out what I did.

RE: Francis Allen Memorial
Found births for William, Francis, Anthony and Sarah Allen (no Elizabeth) in the Non-Conformist lists for Sedbergh/Dent. FYI

RE: Francis Allen Memorial
Thanks for your kind reply. I guess your family lore is good enough for me re James and Isabelle as parents. Did the lore include Burton and the first wife or did that come later? William's birth date is out there, from his Bible to his obituary to the Knox History of 1881. I've been unable to find it overseas however. William and family came to Pennsylvania in 1819. They are in the 1820 census of Redstone Township: 3 boys 10 thru 15, 2 daughters under 10 and James and his wife were over 50. All 7 were aliens. They are not there in the 1830 census, but they were still young and probably in someone else's household or in Monroe? William's wife Joanna Coffing was born and raised in Redstone and they married there in 1832. They came to Ohio about 1835 with the Coffings and both families shared a quarter section (125 a's each) in Liberty twp, Knox. I'd never heard of any Monroe county connections before, although a James of Pa purchased 82+ acres there in 1826, probably that land mentioned in the deed you quote. I probably shouldn't put so much in this format. I do appreciate your helpful answers. Thanks - Jan

Francis Allen Memorial
I believe Francis Allen is a brother of my gr gr grandfather William Allen. Could you tell me where the info on James and Isabelle (Burton) Allen comes from?
