Bio Photo LAST ON LINE: 4 Jul 2015

Retired Federal Law Enforcement Officer with over 29 years of service. I am also the wife of a retired US Army soldier and the mother of a soldier who was injured in Iraq from an IED but was able to complete his tour of duty! SUPPORT THE TROOPS!!!!

My memorials are lopsided as I manage a deceased cousin's contributions to Findagrave.

Some people believe the 1900 Census is all wrong for using birth dates. If that's the case, ALL the Census are incorrect. I know for a fact a majority of my relatives are correct in the 1900 Census...research people:)

DEATH CERTIFICATES are welcomed on my memorials as they are in the public domain and, although at times there are errors, they can provide a wealth of information.

Findagrave is again changing special flowers and modifying bios if they don't approve.

SUGGESTIONS: For those making suggestions, please research and provide the researched information for me to update. Additionally; 1: If someone has a duplicate memorial, courtesy is to ask that individual to delete it FIRST before asking Findagrave to get involved, and 2. When you receive an edit request please DO NOT update the information you received and then decline the edit you received - that is just NOT cool!

HEADSTONE PHOTO VOLUNTEERS-If you volunteer and post headstone photos, please take a photo of the COMPLETE marker and please take the time to ensure your photos are posted as right side UP (not sideways or upside down). I find more and more some individuals crop the bottom of the markers off - especially on military grave sites, which does an injustice to our veterans and the photos were supposedly taken by ex-military individual(s). You took the time to take the photo, then PLEASE take the time to crop correctly.

SSDI-Regarding the "Last Residence" in the SSDI: This is the last address of record, not necessarily where the individual died. Please do not ask me to list it as the place of death on memorial pages - to do so would only be a guess.

I work hard on Findagrave and have sponsored quite a few memorials. Please be a contributor and not just a person who adds names. It's great to see the people who do provide research.

You deserve to know...
Our immense gratitude for adding our Dearly Departed's resting place to this site. When I 1st became a member, I remembered searching for it knowing not to be too disappointed when nothing came up. I can't convey just how much it means to have recently discovered now it is Thanks to YOU & your Amazing legwork/contributions here (& the service you have provided in multiple ways throughout your life as evident by the content of you profile). Even more appropriate is it's just in time for July 4th & today would have been his & my Mother's 46th wedding Anniversary. My siblings & I all live out of state & due to failing health issues & other circumstances we're not able to visit in person so this just touches the deepest reaches of our hearts & souls to their very core. It never ceases to amaze me in such unexpected ways how the kindness of strangers paying it forward proves there are still such Great people on this planet we share. Thanks for BE~ing proof of such & providing Peace & Comfort we weren't able to have before your extended kindnesses. THANKS just doesn't seem enough but am hoping you can tell the magnitude, weight & depth of this heart~felt message honoring what you've done for us & countless others. May Life be good/kind as you have been, blessing you with an Abundance of ((( Hugs ))), Smiles & Everything Worthwhile from our household to yours with our Deepest Appreciation, Respect & Admiration Always... P.S. The Love left on his page also means a lot to us & adore your handle/user name too btw!! ;-)

Hey Pam,

" OR " .... possibly he, or whoever noted his age, noted it wrong in the 1850 & 1860 census .... and possibly the headstone & death cert. are correct .... Remember that old documents like death certs. & especially newspapers were historically wrong ....

Just something to remember my friend. I added the info to his record.

Glad we got that straight... a little strange not to mention her name Barbara on the stone. At least they made it easy and put Jackson on there. take care and no telling what else we will find. lol
