4th great grand daughter
Catherine Salsbury Hinman # 24902808
Sir;
My name is Ruth Tammen and Catherine is my 5th Great Aunt, her sister Amy Salsbury Cole is my 5th Great Grand mother. Henry Salsbury is my 6th Great Grand father. My Grand mother "Ruth McGowan", researched the Salsburys so many years ago, when there were no computors and she is the Bible in our genealogy when it comes to questions, so I just wanted to let you know that Catherine and Luther were married on 20 March 1803 in Claverack, N.Y. If you would like to correspond please do so {r_tammen@live.com}

RE: Barnard
So sad. Thank you for sharing info on Minnie and infant, and also her son Samuel. That explains why I could not find the infants stone.

Daniel Peck
Hello
I am related to Daniel Peck.My GGG Grandmother was Catherine Kitty Peck Carr. I know you have him listed as being buried in the Thompson Cemetery. Do you know this for sure? I know of a Daniel Peck stone with the Death Date June 24, 1840, which I presumed to be Catherine Peck Carr's father. It is not in the Thompson Cemetery. I would love to correspond with you on this line. Thanks Teresa

RE: DeWitt
Thanks for the info about Isaac DeWitt. I have a strong feeling that the DeWitts from my line do somehow connect back to the Barent DeWitt/Sarah VanTassel line, but I so far haven't had any success getting the puzzle pieces to fit together. The dates and places don't line up correctly for them to match. This is frustrating, but I've read that other people have had the same problem, so at least I'm not alone...lol.

My Isaac DeWitt is said to have come from PA or VA. If he was from PA, then that would put him in good standing to be from Barent's line, since some of his sons did move to PA. He married Mary Eleanor Lemon. Isaac DeWitt who married Sarah Price did indeed have a son named Isaac who died in OH, but this one married a Magdalena Washer and came from NJ and they weren't anywhere near each other in Ohio. Both Isaacs died in about the same year (1843-1844). It's tempting to try to make the two into the same person, but I can't reconcile the differences in spouses.

I once made a project out of tracing Barent & Sarah's line to find a possible link, and I did find some possible candidates for Isaac's father, but alas, no proof. I gave up on doing that, but I may try again in the future. If you have any information that might be helpful to me in this pursuit I'd be very grateful.

PS: There was also a DeWitt line that came out of Kingston,NY under Tjerck DeWitt, but I haven't been able to match anything from that line either.

Thanks,
Steve

I saw your request for Tepe at St John Cemetery. I stopped at the Hamilton County library and have the images of the cemetery cards for the Tepe's at St. John.

If you would like them, please email me at morbach@fuse.net and I will forward them on.

Thank you,
Joseph

RE: Carl and Marie Kickul Tepe
According to the cemetery records, Dorothy and Esther Tepe are also buried in Lot 77. Dorothy is listed on backside of Carl/Marie marker but Esther is not. I should have photographed the back side of the marker but forgot. Let me know if you are interested.

John S. Hanhauser at St John's Cemetery
Hi- please revisit your postings for his memorial, # 138063741. The certificates are all in miniature, thumbnail size and are not readable. If there is DOB info somewhere therein I'll gladly add it.
